Site was very easy to find with a good entrance. The washroom and facilities were very good - washing machines and drying room is available for use. The site is half an hourswalk to Hadrians wall. The site is set in a stunning location. It was very wet during our stay (October 2016), we were placed on the hardstanding (large...

My partner and i stayed at the campsite in our campervan during the last week of September. We were having a lovely time exploring the area, when on our last day, just as we were about to leave for home, my partner suffered a cardiac arrest. Andy and Jackie were absolutely incredible. They supported me throughout the traumatic time. My...

Pleasantly surprised, a group of 4 stayed in the bunk barn with 2 dogs, can not give enough credit to this place, we were well look after. The bunk beds were fine, washing, drying and fridge facilities fantastic, shower and toilet area perfect and very clean. Cannot ask for me. We even were made breakfast in the morning for a...

Turned up after a 6 hour drive from down south. Site easy to find, Staff very friendly and welcoming. I was shown to a pitch, popped up my tent, one of the staff came back to check on me and offered a map to help me find my surroundings. Ordered breakfast for the following morning, cheap and cheerful. Toilets and...

We arrived quite late and were created by the managers. Really nice and friendly people. They cook some food on-site such as pizzas. Nothing special but for £5 and after a day of hiking it's fantastic. The rooms are warm clean and cosy. They are a bit on the small side, but thankfully we had a room to ourselves. There's...

If you want to get away from it all in a peaceful scenic setting then this for you. 20 minute walk and you are on the Wall or for excellent cycling and walking routes. There are excellent showers and washing facilities including laundry and pot wash. There is free wifi which has pretty good coverage. We found the Site Staff...

Just had a 2 day stay in an electric tent pitch. Andy checked us in and we had a choice of spots. The pitches didn't seem on top of each other, which was nice. Very clean site with good facilities. Was a lovely bonus that this place has a little cafe there too and even deliver breakfast muffins to your...

Jackie and Andy are so great, this was a life changing decision for them to move here and they are soooooo suited to this job, nothing was too much trouble. Jackie drew the short straw in bringing us a BBQ stand in the rain (no disposable BBQ allowed & we did offer to collect it ourselves). Absolutely gorgeous setting and...

Didn't get to book. Made 9 phone calls in the space of 3 hrs to both landline and mobile numbers but only the last call to the landline was answered - well,l sort of answered. They picked up the phone but then someone walked into the reception (I could hear them talking whilst I was saying 'hello...hello' into the phone)...

The most beautiful campsite with amazing views. Owners lovely. Toilet facilities are good plenty of hot water. We were supposed to be going back on our way back down the country but due to a failer of our tent we were unable to so they are allowing us to take up another night this year can't wait to go back.
