La Source is one of my favourite restaurants. The food is interesting, delicious and extremely high quality and the service is excellent. Moreover, the outdoor restaurant is stunning as you sit under the wisteria on a gorgeous covered patio. We always have a lovely time. Today I had the Eclair with Tomatoes, which was superb and then the Tartare Classique - delish! And I would highly recommend the Vacherin with Strawberries as a pudding. I would highly recommend a visit!

The weather was not nice to eat outside so we were moved to a table in their very nice 'cave' which was full and had a good vibe. The menu looked interesting and had been suggested as appropriate for a good meal. Each dish was well described and the four of us selected different plates. We had an amuse bouche and a bottle of white wine (Pic poul de Pinet, I think). The first course arrived and all were beautifully presented but disappointed a little in taste, my goats cheese and pepper being a little heavy and too large. For the next course two of us had the sweet red peppers stuffed with slow cooked beef, my wife had the fish of the day (by far the best choice) and another had 'cornets' filled with slow cooked pork. My peppers looked like 3 Liberty Caps placed diagonally on a slate with a swirl of something and the mushrooms were just 4 dried slices - disappointing. The taste was too rich, without texture, almost sickly and did not settle well, they needed something like apricot to cut through the oiliness. The cornets we never did determine what they were, pastry or offal? Again these were to tasteless and oily. Deserts were rather spectacular in appearance but bland, mine read very well but was in reality a ball of chocolate ice cream in a runny chocolate custard, nice bowl though. In conclusion not a great experience, expensive and memorable for the length of time I had the discomfort of an ill balanced meal. Villeneuvette on the other hand is always worth exploring.

A thoroughly diappointing evening at La Source. Overpriced dull food, capped by an incident of quite astonishing rudeness by the staff, over a minor bill dispute. The waitress and - I think - the restaurant manager seemed intent on enacting a petty tit-for-tat. Bizarre.

Very disappointing.. Staff were cold & unfriendly. Not what it used to be, which is probably why it was fairly empty. Food very average for the prices. Use of pool after was limited until 4pm ! Unable to buy soft drinks mid-afternoon. Obviously didn't want the business !!

My family and I had lunch here the other day with some friends of ours. 2 families, 4 adults and 4 children. We arrived at 1pm and were immediately surprised at how quiet it was. There were only two other tables occupied. From the word go we all felt as though the staff were very cold towards us. We were served by a lady who seemed to be the manager/owner who offered no welcome either in her language or manner. This feeling continued with the other staff who served us. It really did feel as though they wished we weren't there. The lady who took our orders looked quite disgusted at the fact we ordered main courses only rather than menus. The food was fine but nothing to write home about. All in all a disappointment that left us all feeling angry. We won't be going back.

The hotel is situated in what appears to be several different areas, and rooms are arrived at through a gateway , via a cobbled street. Its all rather charming , and each of the rooms are decorated in different styles, some having a mezzanine floor, and others leading straight into a small grove of massive bamboos. The dining area is mainly outside with cover, or by the pool, and food is very good, with beautifully presented dishes.Breakfast is taken , buffet style, in a little room with an outside terrace overlooking the river. We have stayed at the hotel on 4 occasions and been happy each time

We found this 3 Star hotel via our Satnav and we are glad we did. The staff were friendly and attentive, the room adequate and in a very nice setting. We are dinner and breakfast and enjoyed both. Our steaks we very good and the recommended local wine was excellent!

we found this hotel on a tourist site, and what a hotel, the accommodation, we had one of the rooms in the garden with a river running just outside the bedroom window just sending you off to sleep at night, the room was very comfortable and clean. the hotel is set in a very historical village and well worth a visit. the madam is very helpful with direction to all the interesting places to visit in the area, we stayed 7 nights and visited several place in the area we found it very interesting, the unheated pool was used and was clean if not a little chilly. the garden was a haven for birds and gardeners alike. breakfast on the terrace was a real treat if the sun is shining

We had been here before. But in every way it seemed to be a little less, than the other times. No place next to the room to sit private outside, spartan bed, dinner not that delightful as we had in memory , breakfast rather basic. As a very unpleasant suprise: a band playing almost next to our room. They started at about 19.00 to practise and thought they were marvelous! Well except for a breathtaking noise, they were nothing. Our complaining at the hoteldesk turned out to be a rather unpleasant conversation about the troubles with the organisers of this event and which in the most optimal way would end at eleven, but it sometimes it even became one o'clock.Lucky us, it ended at 23.15;-). Our suggestion, because we know they can : keep the quality as it was, and most of all, try to accept that guests may have questions or complaints about the unwanted noise.

My wife and two sons visited La Source again this year (September 2014) and found the hotel staff to be as welcoming as on our last few visits. There were no surly staff, no sub-standard rooms and no nocturnal noise. The breakfast coffee machine worked faultlessly and gave a full cup of coffee every time ! Unfortunately our holiday coincided with rather severe flooding in Hérault, but this only spoiled part of one day. Once again Inga's cuisine and wine cellar were exceptional and were enjoyed by all four of us. On va y revisiter.
