The Majestic Valley Wilderness Lodge was a wonderful part of our Alaska vacation, I'm just sorry that we only spent one night here. Our room on the ground floor was clean and comfortable and was set along with other rooms around a common area with seating, microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. Chairs and hammocks were available for outdoor lounging on...

We stayed here following several nights of camping and it was just what the doctor ordered. No, it isn't super fancy, but I wasn't expecting a high-end hotel property. It was simple and clean; the views were divine and so was the food, even while accommodating some in our party that had special dietary needs. Overall, it was a good...

Nice views, but this is AK, so there are 1000s of places w nice views. The facilities and staff at this place are inferior. $160 and they out me in the basement in a room with bare concrete floors next to their laundry even though the place was practically empty. I booked online 6 months ago because I heard the...

Thw lodge is not very big, but it is located in a very wonderfyl site. You have the mountains right in front of the rooms and the main buikding. We had dinner, perfectly served and cooked. Beers and wines. The rooms at the lodge are small, but have everything you need. I just loved it!

I'm giving this 3 stars. If it was for the Glacier building it would be one star (since zero is not permitted) and the main lodge is a 5. We were the only guests and for some reason were taken to Glacier. It was absolutely awful. Cold, dreary, ugly, you name the negative descriptor and it applies here. One of...

My friend's son was married on this site and it was a lovely setting with the majestic mountains as a backdrop. The lodge has a gravel runway for small planes; rents space for motor homes; and has a variety of lodging options: in the main lodge; cabins; rooms in the main hall. The rooms in the lodge are astonishing. The...

During the summer this lodge seems to cater mainly for weddings at weekends, but if you need somewhere to stay along the Glen Highway, just west of Eureka Summit and on a weekday, make the effort to stop here. It does not face onto the road, it overlooks countryside and mountains. The cook provides excellent food and it is peaceful....

Majestic Valley Wilderness Lodge is our best stay in Alaska! The host is efficient and friendly. As we travel as a family and we have our personal room requirements, she was kind enough to show us all the available rooms to see which room suit our family best. The room was very clean and cozy. There is a pantry just...

We stayed one night the last week of August on our way from Anchorage to Paxson. The main lodge is beautiful and clean. Our room was downstairs in the main building. Two double beds. Super clean and beds were the most comfortable of our whole trip to Alaska. Could not figure out how the heating worked. Finally decided it came...

Stayed three nights in the double queen in the main lodge building with thick mattresses and a lovely view across the back of the property's expansive flowered meadow view into the valley. Good food, very helpful and enthusiastic staff about the area's activities. Enjoyed the campfire (and our own smores fixings) each night, sticks provided, and the overall peaceful serenity...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Majestic Valley Lodge, mile 114.9 on the Glenn Hwy, is located at a convenient stopping point along the scenic Glenn Hwy (half way between Palmer and Glennallen) and the elevation is just under 3000 feet. The 7000 square foot hand scribed log lodge overlooks two spectacular mountain ranges: the Talkeetnas and the Chugach. Hiking trails abound; arrange for flight seeing, glacier trekking or river rafting. Free Wireless. Satelite TV. Beer and wine bar. Advance reservation for creatively prepared dinners using fresh ingredients and Alaskan seafood. Full course breakfasts are available and may be reserved upon check-in. The chef and staff provide wonderful meals with the individual's dietary needs in mind. The coffee pot is always ready to brew that freshly ground cup of coffee w/ creamer for those guests that enjoy kicking back on the covered porch to watch the wilderness unfold. Adjacent to the lodge is a small bush airstrip, so watching the planes come in for landings is also eventful. Rooms range in price and ammeneties, but all rooms are very clean, pet and smoking free. ... more   less
