I'm thrilled you had such a great time at our little piece of Alaska. The hike up Sheep Mountain is not an easy one, but the views are well worth it! See you next time!

The perfect launch point for all your Alaska adventures! Sheep mountain is close to: glaciers, hiking, flightseeing, fishing, rafting, moose, mountains, river campfires, 4-wheeling... pretty much anything you could want to do in AK. The accommodations themselves are cozy and exactly what our group was...More

We spent the night at Sheep Mountain Lodge on our return trip from Wrangell-St. Elias/McCarthy/Kennicott. Beautiful mountainside location, rooms were clean and tidy, dinner and breakfast were delicious. We may visit again the winter!

We are visiting July 12/13. What is the average high/low temperature?

Weather in mid July near Sutton is usually near 70 with lows down around 55. Current forecast looks good for next weekend but there's always a chance of rain. Even if it does the rain usually is light and tolerable.
