Sheep Mountain Lodge was the highlight of my first "Grand Alaskan Adventure." I arrived with a group of friends late in the evening with no idea of what to expect. I was greeted by a cozy clutch of cabins nestled in at the base of a small mountain, surrounded trees and nature. The cabins themselves were very comfortable and clean....

I'm thrilled you had such a great time at our little piece of Alaska. The hike up Sheep Mountain is not an easy one, but the views are well worth it! See you next time!

The perfect launch point for all your Alaska adventures! Sheep mountain is close to: glaciers, hiking, flightseeing, fishing, rafting, moose, mountains, river campfires, 4-wheeling... pretty much anything you could want to do in AK. The accommodations themselves are cozy and exactly what our group was looking for. Having the restaurant on site made it perfect. Will be back for sure.

We were here as part of a photography tour with Jeff Schultz, the famous Anchorage photographer. This lodge is located right in heart of the Sheep Mountain locality. The chalets are clean comfortable and spacious. The food is especially the dinner is excellent. The only set back is that wifi is only available in the reception area/restaurant.

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. I'm happy to report all the cabins now have WiFi. I realize this was an important amenity we missed, so we made then effort this past fall to expand it. We hope you will think of us again on your next trip.

We spent the night at Sheep Mountain Lodge on our return trip from Wrangell-St. Elias/McCarthy/Kennicott. Beautiful mountainside location, rooms were clean and tidy, dinner and breakfast were delicious. We may visit again the winter!

We stayed just one night and it was so beautiful! Our room was close to the main cabin. We had a porch overlooking the airstrip, you can't ask for more! Our cabin was clean, very cozy and quiet. Very good bathroom (running water) and a little dining table. No TV or Wifi, but we came for the scenery, not the...

Lodge is on Glenn Highway but there is not much nearby. This is a place for those who want to get away, or are passing through the area (as we were). We went in late September and the restaurant had closed for the season. The staff emailed us beforehand with dining options several miles down the highway. Cabins have full...

We stayed at SML over Labor Day weekend in a Premier cabin and completely enjoyed the property and people. The staff was super helpful and accommodating for the short stay that we had with them. It seemed like a great family run operation and was very friendly. We are contemplating the next family get together at SML. I would say...

My daughter and I stayed her as part of our cycling trip. The individual cabins had lots of charisma. They were super clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable. Our cabin had its own kitchen. The stay there was relaxing and rejuvenating. Good food at the restaurant. And the location is absolutely beautiful. I would definitely stay there again.
