I've stayed in cabins and in my trailer (RV space and tent space available). The cabins are incredibly nice and cute. The food and drink are awesome and the proprietors are great. A wonderful get-away for over night or a week. Nice hiking trails near...More

Fabulous scenery, clean comfortable cabins, great restaurant (Plus great value), friendly helpful staff - highly recommended! We used as stopping spot enroute to Kennicott Glacier Lodge, but could spend longer!
The staff was great! You can tell that they take pride in their job. The restaurant food was so delicious! Get the burger. The guest house was very spacious. The hot tub was a great surprise! Breathtaking view!

The two are about five hours apart (more like six in the summertime) and there is one main route. You'll head south on the Parks Highway (highway 1) until you get to the interchange with the Glenn Highway (highway 3.). Take the Glenn north to Sheep Mountain Lodge. It's a lovely drive. You can cut through the town of Wasilla to save a few minutes but it's not probably not worth it if you're new to the area. Have a safe trip!
