A nice drive from Palmer with a lot of scenery, passed glacier entrance along the way. Very remote location on the highway and private. Cabin was perfect size for our family of 4. We had planned ahead and brought groceries to fix our own dinner and breakfasts, which was very convenient. Everything we needed to cook with was there and...

First off I run a ATV and Snowmobile Tour company and for years have been using other lodges along the highway for my clients and my self to stay until I found Sheep Mountain Lodge! Mark and Ryan are excellent hosts and very knowledgable of the area and their wife's are the best cooks/bakers on the highway!!! I highly recommend...

The hosts were amazing, went above and beyond to make our office retreat a success! Cabins were lovely, and the views beautiful. The food was great! Wonderful views and groomed trails. Bonfire in the gazebo with smores was a hit!

I had a really great time. The owners were incredibly helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was very good and the rooms were awesome. I was pretty happy with the hot tub as well.

After a long day of ice climbing on the Matanuska Glacier, my husband and I were looking for a filling meal to replenish our energy! Sheep Mountain Lodge did not disappoint!! I ordered a garden salad, a bowl of chili, and a jumbo sourdough roll. My husband ordered a mountain chiliburger. The salad was crisp and fresh, the chili was...

Nice little cabins with great views of Matanuska Glacier. No TV, no phone, no Wi-fi in the rooms (but available in the restaurant), and no pets with a big fine if not complied. Restaurant was good for supper and breakfast.

Thank you for your kind comments. Being pet owners ourselves, we do allow pets in some rooms. I apologize if that wasn't clear. We will try to make that more clear in the future. Thank you!

After roaming Matanuska Glacier one afternoon, we arrived for 1 night in Cabin 5. We ate dinner & breakfast in their restaurant, which is clean, clean, clean. Only about 8 tables, it feels intimate and service is friendly. They sell their perfect man-handle coffee mugs, which my man loves! Also CLEAN and quite spacious, is the cabin! Loved the dining...

Spent two nights in the RV spaces at Sheep Mountain Lodge. This area has great views and is convenient to Anchorage. We had two meals in the restaurant, with Katie as our server both times. She was very pleasant and provided good service (and the food was good, too). Mark, the manager (I think), was outgoing and obviously committed to...

We stayed at Sheep mountain lodge for 2 nights during our stay in the Matanuska glacier area. We had our reservation done over the phone and got a classic cabin (#5). The reservation process was very smooth and got an email confirmation with-in minutes. We had no challenge in finding the hotel using GPS. The location of the lodge is...

I stayed with my dog in this lodge for two nights in the end of August. This was one of the nicest accommodations I had in my four wk long road trip; it was cost effective, clean, cozy but spacious - Alaskan ranges and Matanuska glaciers by the side. It was all snow covered 1st morning - surreal landscape. I...
