A very nice accommodation. Outstanding scenic views from the side of a mountain. Has several hiking trails. Does not have telephone, television, or internet. No problem with any of this. The only problem we had was that we were housed in the last cabin (#11) on the uphill that gave us problems in getting luggage from car up to cabin.

I always wanted to stay at Sheep Mountain Lodge and finally had my chance. It is in a great and scenic location not too far from the charming farmlands of Palmer. The cabin we had was clean and spacious although the decor is austere. Beautiful view from the large porch and I could actually see Dall sheep with my binoculars...

We arrived at Sheep Mountain Lodge after a trying journey from Denali. The route from Anchorage was incredibly scenic. The Lodge was a real find. The sort of place you wish you could find more often, so it was a pity that we were only to spend one night there. Our cabin was bright, spotless and very well maintained. We...

traveling through with a biking club. The private cabins are comfortable and clean. They have a hot tub and walking trails. Small gift shop as well. The best is the Food! Everything is homemade. Dinner was great and breakfast fantastic! Don't miss this place!!

We stayed for two nights at the sheep mountain lodge and we loved it! We had a cabin with two queen beds and a sofa which was perfect for our family of five. The cabin was in mint condition. The best part was the deck overlooking the mountains. The location of the lodge is very convenient and very close to...

We spent one night at SML in June 2015. The last night of a two week Alaska vacation for our family of four as we headed back to Anchorage. Glad we stopped here. We stayed in Cabin #3 and it was wonderful. Large and well constructed, it easily accommodated the four of us. It was immaculate as was the entire...

SML is the kind of road house you always wish for but rarely find. Great stop between McCarthy or Chitina, and Anchorage/MatSu Valley. Menus were VERY good, meals delivered as promised, there is ample parking, cabins are simple but spotless (but do bring your own blow dryer), hospitality was above average for a road house. There were even hiking trails...

We are glad you enjoyed our "roadhouse" hospitality. Our staff work hard to make each guests stay memorable. Our scenic location is nestled between the Chugach and Talkeetna Mountain ranges - offering beautiful views in every direction. Access to this beautiful location is via the Glenn Highway or Highway 1 - and we feel the road noise is minimal during...

Stayed in one of the large cabins for two nights my companion and two grandchildren. Enjoyed sitting on the porch looking at the view. Kitchen well stocked. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of room for the four of us. Enjoyed the hiking trails around the lodge.

The views were stunning from our porch. It was so nice to be in the middle of nowhere. Peace and quiet is priceless. The restaurant has a great menu and all our meals were outstanding. Our cabin was very comfortable, clean and good beds, I highly recommend staying here at some point at some point during an Alaskan visit.

We are so glad you enjoyed the view - it is nice to be reminded of what a special place this is- when we are busy working we sometimes forget to look up and enjoy the view! We take pride in offering fresh fare on our menu, especially Alaska salmon and locally grown vegetables. Our homemade soups are a favorite...

We had a great one day stay over at the Sheep Mountain Lodge in one of their RV spots. Even though the place was not officially open, the hosts allowed us to stay for one night. The location is great and the Lodge has a nice trail system just behind the premises, which can keep you busy for at least...

We are so glad you got to meet Zack and enjoy our property. Both Sheep Mountain and Homer are places to see when in Alaska.
