Try and make time for this experience when you are in Ecuador! We booked for 3 nights, and had 2 full days, and 2 half days of adventures. Many people seemed to book for 2 nights only, but our experience confirmed that having the 3rd night was much better. Our room, 17, on the top floor perhaps seemed to be...

We didn't know exactly what to expect and were just excited about the adventure. Mashpi was way beyond anything we expected and I can say enough good things. The staff was fantastic and our guides Fernando and Klever were really great. Marc the manager was also very nice and helpful. I would highly recommend the Mashpi experience to anyone looking...

My mom and flew into Quito and spent the night at Casa Gangotena. The next morning, we were picked up at 8 am and drove 2-3 hours to Mashpi Lodge for a quick two night stay before driving back to Quito and then flying out to the Galapagos for a 4 night cruise. Mashpi Lodge was definitely a highlight of...

The lodge itself is a beautiful building set within a fantastic area. We stayed there 2 nights/3 days in November and were highly impressed with the organisation of the days and the professionalism of the guides. The only downside we had was after booking one of the Yaku Suites after seeing a picture on Mashpi website of a corner room...

The stay increased our appreciation for Ecuador's approach to sustainable tourism. We haven't encountered many Lodges that combine such a commitment to the environment while showing their guests the benefits of protecting the habitat. The infrastructure investment is amazing with their Dragonfly gondola and Skybike rides above the forest canopy. Thanks to our guides, Fernando and Jose for the excellent...

The Mashpi Lodge is part of the Choco Rainforest region of NW South America, situated in the NW corner 3 hours drive from Quito. The last 1 hr drive is on dirt road, but once you get there, forget about anything else. The reception, the hotel, attention to detail is second to none. Usually the party arrives by noon, where...

The best part of our visit to Mashpi Lodge were our guides, Fernando Arias and his aid, Klever. Fernando's charm and flexibility in guiding to our tastes made our hiking excursions exciting and fun. We traipsed through streams, up and down narrow trails to waterfalls and swimming holes. Klever and Fernando made sure we selected a safe path and offered...

This was a real highlight of our trip to Ecuador. From the moment we booked our stay we kept looking at the website and followed the photos on Instagram. We knew it would be special but it was so much more than that. The modern architecture of the hotel set on a hillside deep in the cloud forest is quite...

My Boyfriend and I recently visited Mashpi, and I have not stopped talking about it since. The resort is one of the most beautiful and modern places I've stayed. The service is exceptional, and the food the best I had in the country. From the incredibly knowledgeable guides to the friendly staff, everyone made sure our stay was the best...
