The title says it all really. I enjoyed a lovely meal, served by staff who actually seemed to care about your happiness. This was followed by one of the best night's sleep that I have ever had in a hotel (Hypnos beds and mattresses apparently). I really couldn't recommend the Peacock highly enough.

I use this hotel and restaurant lots of times through the year for business, combined with pleasure of course! The bedrooms are extremely comfortable, well presented and very clean. The menu is varied, and has a delicious selection for both meat eaters and non- meat eaters. If you're in the area, or looking for a weekend break, look no further... More

superb staff, plentiful and gorgeous food, cosy rooms, beautiful surroundings and, having stayed here several times over the years, it is consistently this good. Martin and his staff are welcoming, friendly and a true rarity - they clearly love what they do. This is a real gem

Beautiful surroundings, nice room with a comfortable bed. The dinner was great with a good choice of various dishes. A good variety of draught beer. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was ok - no one leaves the table hungry.

I chose to stay at the Peacock 2 nights a week for 2 years whilst working locally. Martin and his staff are superb and nothing is too much trouble, the rooms are good and the food very good. As I was there for breakfast and dinner I sampled everything and was never dissatisfied. Sometimes too full as the portions are... More

We were a little apprehensive given one of the previous reviews but found the venue to be great. Really clean and newly refurbished, we had a family room which included a kitchen area, two shower rooms (one ensuite) and two adjoining bedrooms (great if you have young children and want any chance of enjoying an evening without disturbing them). Clean... More

This is a lovely little pub in what feels like the middle of the countryside. Beautiful surroundings and nice food and drink. We were in the large private room which is ideal for functions. I would return.
