If you are in Newport to see, your brilliant Harper progeny, this is the place you ought to know, is where all the students go to drink and rave and cause a din, so if you want to sleep -book a Holiday Inn The breakfast was fine though !

Bye-Bye! I can not understand this situation? The Royal Victoria Hotel always had such a great reputation for is warm welcome and great food and luxury rooms and who could ever forget Sue and her warm loving approach to customer service! A sad day for Newport R.I.P.

Well situated on the main street beside the church, which a large amount of parking around the back. The public areas have been re-done a couple of years ago although they seemed a bit empty and forlorn when I was there. Once you were upstairs the carpet became the usual 1980s sort which look like you have rubbed your eyes...

This hotel was expensive, so we expected some service. What we got was a broken TV, no phone in the room, a shower that could cause 3rd degree burns, a towel rail that collapsed and a nasty breakfast which included a piece of plastic. The plastic shard was provided at no extra charge. I got the WiFi to work for...

Stayed here one night with a group of work colleagues. The good things: service is friendly and efficient and the food at dinner was nicely cooked and really tasty. The room and bathroom seemed clean. Easy to park at front of hotel but I don't think the hotel was very busy. The not-so-good things: the room was very small with...

Arrived at 5.30pm to a empty bar where I had to search around to find someone to book me in. Entered my new room for two nights to find patched up wall paper on the ceiling where there had been a leak. The electrics looked dodgy, with old wiring where you had to try everything out to work out how...

We arrived late afternoon , reception was closed with a note advising clients to book in at the bar. However, we found only 2 dogs in the bar ( lovely , but unable to help !). A young lady did eventually arrive to book us in & provide a key for the room. Room located to the front of the...

Was booked in here for a week, didn't go back after the first night. The double room I was booked turned out to be a single. The bed was shocking - when I sat on the middle all 4 corners lifted up. After trying to sleep on it with no support and feeling all the springs and mesh inside, I...
