Eden Roc Cap Cana is celebrated for its luxurious rooms, pristine cleanliness, and a vibrant atmosphere that resonates with guests. The resort's amenities, including private pools and a kids' club, receive high marks for enhancing family stays, though the value proposition is questioned by some due to high costs and occasional maintenance lapses. While its location offers convenient airport access and an inviting beach, limited nearby attractions and beach walks have been noted. Service quality at Eden Roc Cap Cana is inconsistent, with both commendations for staff attentiveness and criticisms for slow responses.

We very much enjoyed Eden Roc Cap Cana. The owner, Angelo Mazzarela, takes great care to provide a high quality experience including exceptional personal concierge service like we received from Samira who was fantastic. She anticipated our needs, provided helpful and friendly service at every turn, and helped us create outstanding memories of my wife’s birthday celebration. The property features newer beachfront suites just steps to the white sands and warm waters of the south beach on Dominican Republic. The suites are well designed and feature comfortable living areas, a large dining room, a fully functional kitchen with all the amenities you could want, a truly gorgeous patio with daybeds, sofas, and a dining table, the master bath has a separate tub/shower with double vanity and a bidet, there’s a private desk with sitting area, and the very spacious bedroom with walk-in closet and safe. The food is five star (some of our favorite dishes were the special roll sushi, chruasco, risotto, pacherri del mar, the best French Toast outside of France, chateaubriand, grilled octopus, and chicken Milanese). The spa is quaint with great staff. The beach and infinity pools are the highlight with plenty of lounge chairs, attentive staff, and a safe beach. We preferred this to Turks and Caicos’ highest rated hotel where we stayed last year. You should consider their VIP membership that offers weeks of stays at a fair, pre-paid price with many perks. Thank you again to Samira for a wonderful time!

This is our 3rd trip to Eden Roc at Cap Cana; we return for the attention paid to every detail and quality around every corner. The food is exceptional: the preparation and the service are unsurpassed. At breakfast this morning (our favorite meal here) Miledys, Esmeralda, Andreidy, Ramon, Milton, and Yensy are an extraordinary team that makes sure every detail is attended to; they take great pride in what they do. Locally grown fruits and pastries fresh each day, green juice and freshly brewed coffees, an acai bowl, and a quinoa breakfast are just a few of the menu items we loved, though there is something here for every taste. For lunch, there are a few choices, both excellent: on the beach where Rosy will take care of everything with a big smile. Covid has challenged everyone, though here it all feels so safe. I appreciate knowing the staff is fully vaccinated and that all wear masks. The rooms are cleaned daily, and turn down is a service that always feels special. The beaches are impeccably maintained, While it was busier than it's been in the past, the resort still feels quiet and peaceful. We are grateful to have found this gem. I'll update as our trip concludes with restaurant thoughts (amazing) and more staff, though I am confident it will continue to impress. It always does. The spa, btw, is not to be missed. The gym is great, though the television has never worked (that would be nice, but hardly an issue).

A stay at Eden Roc is like a cool, breeze on a hot summer day! It is a stay that delights the senses and refreshes the spirit. Unlike other resorts in the area, this hotel is not a concrete jungle set on a beach, it is a collection of small, medium and large rooms and villas that offer something different to every stay. As a single, I loved the ocean view room that allowed me to walk to 3 eating venues, 2 pools, the gym, the spa and the beach in 2 minutes. When I bring my family back, I'll stay at a 1 or 2- bedroom pool villas with a private plunge pool and tons of space.

Food was spectacular. I'm GF and DF and finally found a hotel that offers multiple tasty and well done dishes with a focus on Italian and Asian flavors. La Palapa dining and entertainment on the beach was my favorite. It feels like a casual beach club in paradise. The beach is wide open and offers excellent swimming, really nice white sand and is very well manicured every day. Even though families love this property, there is always a quiet, romantic space to be found everywhere on property.

The gym is small but very well appointed and offers a full gym, top end weights, pilates and yoga options as well as accro-yoga and a private studio for dance, stretch etc. The two kids clubs are beautiful and one teaches swimming as well as kayaking for kids in a super shallow pool. Very cool for the little ones (no extra costs for the kids club!).

Recommend 4 days or more stay! My favorite activities were biking (lots of areas to run and bike), accro-yoga, swimming in the ocean and visiting the horses at Los Establos.

Let me start by saying we are fully aware that the Covid pandemic has changed many things, however, we feel that the hotel was not forthcoming on its website or prearrival emails in what services were and were not available at that time. Their website showed multiple bars and restaurants and various activities. However, upon check in, we were told that there was one restaurant for breakfast, and one for lunch and dinner. Had we known this ahead of time, we perhaps would have changed our reservation to a later date when more was open, or at least been able to mentally prepare, but this was not the case. There was no indication anywhere that the hotel was operating with limited openings on site - and other resorts in the area that we had considered staying at had listed on their sites that certain venues were closed, which is why we chose not to stay there. Aside from that, I have to say the service and the food that was available was incredible. We did enjoy each meal we had, but just feel that we were duped by the options available. Secondly, we booked the private 1 bedroom ocean front villa. The photos were beautiful and it truly looked like something amazing. The best part of this room, was the outside. The views were amazing and the plunge pool was comfortable and clean. But the room itself was "rustic" without the "rustic charm". It was run down, dirty, and humid. More than half the lights did not work, and the ones that did work were so dim it wasn't helpful. The TV did not work for the first 2 nights of our 3 night stay, the bed was so loud that anytime you moved while trying to sleep, it would wake you up, and was just lumpy and uncomfortable on top of that. The room overall was incredibly disappointing and we feel that the only value provided there was the privacy and outdoor space.

The resort also prides itself on its cleanliness and Covid safety regulations, but we found it somewhat unnerving that on Saturday night, they had live music and a sort of cocktail party that was open to guests outside of Cap Cana. We found out from a bartender that the majority of the people there were from inside the city of Santo Domingo and came here to party because the city had a strict curfew. That would be fine in a non-Covid situation, but is just a little unsettling knowing that this incredibly increased the exposure possibilities for the guests of the hotel. This party also went until 4am the next morning, which is less than ideal for sleeping hotel guests..

I had a booked a 2-bed beachfront suite for a 5 day stay with my family over labor day. Overall, the resort was incredible and everything you would expect from a high end resort: a beautiful private beach with lots of shaded seating, great pools, a stunning golf course, spacious, well-furnished suites with a view to kill, a very nice spa, and exceptional food. On that note, I would highly recommend staying at the beachfront suites. The villas offer more privacy but seem very cut off from everything and are far from the beautiful beach.

But what made it truly luxurious was the amazing service we received every day at every venue. Service is what separates great hotels from good ones and the folks at Eden Roc were exceptional on that front. For example, the hotel anticipated and provided a lot of thoughtful items for our young children in the room that made things easy for us. Similarly, when one of our kids was not feeling well, the concierge took us to the urgent care center to get checked out, acted as our translator, and picked up medication on the way back. There were many small and large touches like this that will keep me coming back.

There were a couple of small negatives: the rooms needed some maintenance, there were very few activities available, and restaurants/bars closed early. But these were truly overshadowed by all the positives.

Overall, this is truly one of the best resorts in the Caribbean. It's quite expensive, but the quality of accommodations, location, beach, service, and overall luxury truly justifies the price.

We adored our week long stay. We decided to stay in the private villas due to Covid. The private building, pool, yard, and AC system was the ideal way to stay safe. The private golf cart allowed us to move around the resort without having to worry about other people. We ate all meals outside.

The villa was immaculate. I loved the outdoor shower while my husband preferred the massive indoor shower. Complimentary water bottles were provided twice daily in the room. The staff did a great job keeping the room tidy and clean.

Juan Carlos was our concierge for the week. He was responsive, attentive, and personable. He assisted us with any questions we had.

Our favorite way to spend the day was down at the beach. We were brought fresh fruit and iced towels. The staff was always eager and able to help. Rosy was a delight. She checked in with us often and even learned what kind of drinks we liked. She was always smiling (under her mask) and taught us some new Spanish phrases.

Our only disappointment was the large amount of seaweed on the beach (and in the water) for several days of our stay. It washes up in the tall mounds and makes the water not swimmable. The staff worked very hard to remove it but it was more than could be reasonably tackled. The seaweed prevented us from swimming in the ocean. The bulldozers used to remove the seaweed are certainly necessary but prevented us from sitting on the beach even to just enjoy the view. We did get 2 days out of the week where the seaweed was not overwhelming. My understanding is that this is an issue around the island due to temperature changes in the water. Again, the resort worked really hard to keep the beach clear and clean. However, it’s something to strongly consider when planning. We were disappointed to not have beach time for a majority of our stay. This is the only reason for not giving the resort a 5 star rating.

We are so thankful we got to stay at your resort. From the moment we arrived and were picked up at the airport we had felt so relaxed. Eden Roc Cap Cana is absolutely incredible. We felt so secluded and away from everything. The bikes were amazing and really fun to get around the property. We rode them every day even in the rain. Our room was beautiful there were so many magical touchs. We loved the outdoor shower and the patio area with shade and the plunge pool. Our room was always spotless and we were given lens cloths and bookmarks and little treats each day. We really enjoyed being able to speak Spanish with everyone and learn new words daily. We felt to comfortable to practice and we appreciate once we said we wanted to practice we got to. Also we would like to thanks to Alejandro Otero for making us feel so special in our stay.

Everyone working at this resort is lovely. We didn’t meet a single employee who wasn’t smiling and eager to help with whatever we needed. They knew our names almost immediately and waved, smiled, wished us well each day and were incredibly attentive. The service is excellent. Our personal concierge Byron was wonderful and handled all of our needs including the few room hiccups we encountered, with grace and speed. Our spa services were dreamy and typically I find spa services disappointing and don’t quite live up to the price tag. I want to acknowledge the friendly and caring service of Rosy ( best fruit punch ever. Have her make you one) , Hector, Teo, Julio, Felix, Jendry, Emmanuel, Adorberto, and all the others for being so kind. One day while napping by the pool I awoke to find that while I was sleeping one of the attendants had placed another umbrella by my chair to provide additional shade while I slept. It was an exemplary gesture. We stay in high end hotels all over the world and this has never happened. A few suggestions: the showers are enormous. Ours was big enough for 8 people of not more, but there is not ledge or shelf to shave your legs. That’s an easy fix that would be most welcome. There are not enough hooks in the bathroom to dry swimsuits and towels. There was plenty of available wall space, but one hook. When a resort’s primary focus is sun, pool, and sand, I never understand the lack of hooks for drying. Considering the humidity of the locale, it would be nice to offer a swimsuit drying service each night. Leave your swimsuit in a bag on the doorknob each night and have it returned dry in the morning. We had to leave our suits outside to dry. If we left them in the room to dry they never dried. And the one day I didn’t swim I left my dry suit in the bathroom hanging over the tub and it was so damp in the morning I couldn’t wear it. So that would be an incredible service. Similar to show shining— just a nice gesture. Lastly, I had a body scrub one morning and thought how nice it would have been to have the option of having sunscreen applied to my body at the end of the service. They applied it to my face, but I think the body option would be great.

Just returned from a 4 night stay.. We had a 2BR Beachfront Suite. The room was great, loved the cleanliness and decor. The view was fabulous!! The beach and pool were very nice! The beach bar was great, Hector and Roberto were awesome! Very attentive and knew what you wanted before you got up there. They were enjoyable to talk to. Not all on site restaurants were open due to COVID. Only one was open for breakfast (or room service but still the same choices) and only one was open for lunch/dinner (or room service but alot of the same stuff to order) Food was over all good but did take a long time for only being half capacity. Room service did seem to mess up quite a few times.. It was odd that we would order the same thing and it would be different each day. Or i would order something and the next day they would say they dont offer that as an option. One complaint, no TV's in any bars on site or the lobby.. We wanted to watch a football game and had to sit in our room, we would have preferred to watch it somewhere at the hotel but in a bar setting whether outside or inside. The hotel staff were all masked and there was sanitizer everywhere we went. We did a private boat charter booked through the hotel lobby and that was very nice, organized and enjoyable. We will stay here again, but will check if all the restaurants are back open daily. We did enjoy ourselves and the beach/pool area alot!

I went to the hotel on short notice after my plans at another resort went South.

The property is new and room quality is good. The hotel is located inside a private residence area and everything looks peaceful and organized.

The food at the hotel is probably the best I have had anywhere in the Caribbean, with all dishes being cooked to perfection. That was undoubtedly the highlight of our stay.

The Beach and Swimming pool area at the resort were a bit of a disappointment, though, as I feel a more refined and stylish ambiance could have been projected.

The only negative feedback I have to give is the service standards at the Beach area and the restaurants. The service was slow, careless and sloppy. Many of our requests were simply ignored, and most of the time the staff was busy gossiping and not really worried about delivering the service.

The Management team and Guest Relation specialists were very apologetic and professional, though I still feel more could have been done to mitigate the service flaws.

Overall it was a decent stay, though I will not be coming back anytime soon.
