Stayed here for my sister-in-law's 40th birthday. We had four families attending (17 of us) and the four cottages were lovely and refurbished to a lovely spec whilst retaining their traditional charm. Games room was fine although the equipment was a bit battered but the youngsters didn't seem to mind. Had all the amenities we needed but a bit of...

Oak floors with under floor heating.Open plan kitchen lounge, making it perfect for bedbound people to see whats going on. Two bedrooms, two single electric beds and a double, both with ensuite. Stayed here recently with my family including a number of teenagers and infants; host Alison was unwelcoming; cobwebs in bedrooms; kitchen equipment was unworkable; dishwasher did not work so had to use one in the neighbouring cottage which was inconvenient and time consuming; there was no description of how to use electric cooker in welcome pack, despite the most basic...

Thank you very much for taking the time to post your comments. Because 3 of the recent reviews relate to the same family weekend I will obviously take them very seriously. I must admit I was a little confused as the initial response after the weekend was very positive but it may be clouded by issues that have arisen after...

Our stay My husband - dependant on a wheelchair - myself and our son (27) stayed at Calf Shed for 6 days. The rest of our family stayed at Burwash, Manor Farm Cottages. My self and my family of 16 visited this place in September.... the host Alison was very unwelcoming.... this was proven when my son in law was taken into intensive care and Alison refused to refund the money citing 'she had not met him' to reimburse him. Unfortunately, she never met them when she took the deposit either! The utensils...

Booked this place as it claimed to be 5 star luxury holiday cottages, however reality proved this to be far from it. Upon arrival, we did not feel welcomed at all. No real genuine desire for us to have a warm and pleasant stay. Whilst the facilities are as listed, they have not been maintained well. A few issues we...

We loved our weekend stay at Ewe Cottage. The location was amazing, didn't see anyone else the whole weekend, apart from the friendly sheepdog who Kept the kids entertained for hours. It's not all polished floors and stone courtyards because it's a farm. We collected eggs, played on the swings, checked out the barns and let the kids run free....

We stayed at the Calf Shed for a week's holiday. We have two children, our daughter has disabilities and uses a wheel chair. Our accommodation was very pleasant, however we would not rate it 5 star especially having a view of the side of a shed directly in front. We found it was not easy to get our daughters wheel chair...

We stayed in Ewe cottage at Bardown Farm. It was a beautifully prepared cottage in a peaceful setting. There is plenty of safe parking, plenty of room for children to play and the farm is easily accessible. The cottage was clean, very well equipped and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom had its own en-suite which was...

Just got back from my second year at Bardown Farm. I live in Kent and the rest of the family live in Hampshire so this place was the perfect location. We had 10 adults and 5 children so having 3 houses to stay in was perfect. A lovely rural area where there are televisions, board games and wi-fi all free...
