This resort is in a perfect location if you want peace and quiet. All units facing the ocean is definitely a nice feature. Units are well maintained and clean. One feature I would not recommend is attending the barefoot man dinner performance. It is not a “dinner”

Our first trip to the island and it won’t be our last. The Reef was amazing and staff wonderful. We were in a 3rd floor studio and thought perhaps it would be cramped but not at all as we spent so much time on our balcony or outside enjoying ... well everything. And the unit

We were nervous about the resort based on some of the reviews. It's not the type of resort for those that just want a great beach. It's beach is nice enough - rocky at a lot of points - but the snorkeling is truly impressive. Seaweed is a real problem but they do there best to

This was an outstanding location and great staff. I stayed for 5 days and was very pleased with the clean rooms. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast bar was also a surprise. I will be back.

Not a nice feeling getting rinsed for whatever money they can get out of you. Staff are the only redeeming quality although front desk is abysmal as is the concierge. Bar staff very nice though. Don’t let them book anything for you they will screw you big time.

Dear Dave P, We do want to say that whenever we have a guest stay with us, we want to exceed their expectations in enjoying their stay. The best way for us to ensure this is for the guest to bring to our attention, immediately, anything that is not quite right. This gives us the opportunity to correct the situation as quickly as possible if we are able to. Our Management Team is always available to speak with any of our guests and we encourage all guests to seek us out. We thank you for your review and we wish you happy travels.

Yes it’s called Sargum. Very bad this year but I was told by many that it happens once every 15 years!

I'm a diver not a snorkeler so can't help much there. Other answers seemed to have worked. However I would really really suggest the kayak trip to the bioluminescence Bay. It was absolutely awesome. The concierge at The Reef, Archie, is awesome and he'll be a great help to you. I'm jealous I'd love to be back there now it's a great place

I travel to Grand Cayman every three to five weeks and I ALWAYS use Hertz at Owen Roberts Airport. The best way of booking a car is to call them direct on 1-345-943-4378 . Ask for Matt or Mark, and actually ask them for a standard size vehicle and say emphatically that they were recommended by Mr John Price via Trip Advisor and you will be guaranteed an upgrade. Because the islands roads are driven on the left a right hand drive car would be recommended but they offer both left and right hand drive. No car they have is over 6 months old, all are clean and fully serviced and safe and they offer all types of SUV sedans and coupes at the best prices. From a high end Mercedes convertible to a Cadillac Escalade. Yesterday when I left to return to Dallas I dropped off a 2019 Jeep Wrangler left hand drive which had only got 73 miles on it when I picked it up. Always go for an international name like Hertz. The check in process is a simple 3-5 minutes and requires just an initial and a signature. Even though I rent using a black AMEX card I still take the extra liability insurance cover because it is affordable and they will honor it worry free for you. Some road users are often slow and some roads narrow. I have used Hertz Grand Cayman 11 times in the past 12 months and never had a problem with cars, driving, insurance or safety. You will need to get a Caymsn Drivers Licenss which Hertz are licensed to issue for $20 so that’s a time saver and problem solver although it’s as equally efficient to go to your local AAA office and get an international drivers permit which is also $20 and works just the same. I now have a second home a condo on Seven Mile Beach and a farm in East End 2 miles from the Wyndham Reef Resort, which is where I stayed while I had the farm house built and I can guarantee you will enjoy the service, tranquility and relaxation of the place. Make sure to visit a world class and very affordable restaurant called Tukka in East End and meet the owner, a great friendly Aussie guy called Ron. It will be a real affordable fun night and a good place to make friends with fellow travelers who had the good taste to find the real Caribbean in East End. I will probably be on island and if I am I am well known in East End. I hope this helps and have a wonderful enjoyable trip to the last paradise of the Cayman Islands, East End, Grand Cayman

"We were on the third floor which we preferred and it was incredibly quiet and the view exceptional. The AC worked almost too well!"
"If you want to be close to everything, such as the outside bar, restaurant, main lobby area, then request a room closer to that area,"
"We prefer top floor but lower floors gives you roll out of bed access to the beach"
"The second floor units all have balconies over the beach, we preferred that over the walk-out patios of the first floor."
"The bottom floor balconies walk onto the beach. If seaweed is a concern do NOT stay on the north side of the property."
