Stayed with my sister in castles room, lovely and clean, cosy and quiet. We had dinner here both nights and it was very good, even catering for vegans with no problems. Loved the area and this was a great place to stay whilst we explored, thanks

I recently stayed here for a long weekend. This is a great find beautifully situated in the middle of the stunning Northumberland countryside. We arrived late but the kitchen was still open so we were able to eat a delicious meal. The next morning the breakfast was tasty with lots of choice. A great start to the day. The atmosphere... A very welcoming and pleasant hotel with very comfortable rooms and amenities. The owners were very friendly and engaging and the bar staff in particular were very accommodating of our large group. This accommodation was recommended to us and we were very glad to stop over in this idyllic spot. The breakfasts were hearty and tasty too.

Stayed here during a golf break at Slayley Hall (just a 10 minute drive). Immediately impressed as soon as we walked in....the decor is fantastic and very inviting. The rooms were newly decorated and very clean and comfortable. The best part was the food....fantastic quality and varied menu to suit all tastes. The breakfast was also extremely good! Will definitely... More

Had a really relaxing two night stay.Really friendly hotel/pub with great service. Supper was excellent and a choice to suit all. Breakfast really set us up for the day ahead. Rooms really comfortable, spotless and great views over countryside. Ask in the bar for taxis if required as really great local firm available.

We stayed here for our niece's wedding. I am disabled and find it difficult climbing stairs, but there were no ground floor rooms and no lift. The food was nothing to write home about when you got it. My husband ordered our meals, mine was quite a simple meal, Scampi and chips with NO salad and NO peas. They brought... More

Had a family meal here, was the worst meal I think we've all eaten.... Almost £18 for pork lion dish, that was revolting... Another family members order was wrong, waited for almost half an hour for the replacement dish, by which time everyone else had eaten. The drinks prices were ridicules (cheaper at the hotel we stayed at) & the... More
