Booked this motel for our first trip at NZ. While price range is above 'standard' motel rates, it was surprisingly modern, spacious and room came with ensuite kitchen. Our hosts - manager/owners were extremely polite and pleasant people who tried to accommodate our requests and explained to us the area and history of the area. If you are on your...

Our room was extremely spacious and comfortable. Despite it being an older property, it has been maintained to a high standard. Bed was super comfy! Host Kaye was a delight, such a lovely, welcoming lady. Great value for money. Hotel was a two minute walk from motel, had the best rib eye steak!

Superb friendlyness even by NZ standards and the older sytle room (1980's) was absolutely immaculate. No really just like a time warp and not a speck of grime anywhere I just do not know how they do it. So well done the best by far on our NZ trip we loved it. THANK YOU

I was made to feel very welcome at this hotel. I arrived at the hotel having been tramping and the owner offered to wash and dry my clothes, that extra hospitality is something you do not often find... Thankyou! The room was spacious, clean, quiet with everything you could want. Good value.

We stayed at Ross Motel as a last minute stay over, and we were so glad - it was one of the best and also the cheapest. Kay was one of the nicest and most accommodating people we met in NZ. We arrived late in the afternoon and Kay let us use the laundry, offered great tips for the area...

The Ross Motel is a really neat place to stay. Kay who owns the motel is very helpful and very friendly The rooms are quite large, very clean and warm. The pricing is great value! It isn't 5 star, but for the pricing, it is great value and the pub next door is also worth a visit.

Luckily for us Hokitika was booked out so we found this motel instead. Kay was a wonderful, friendly host and instantly made us welcome. The unit was old and outdated but very clean, warm and comfortable. Although the bathroom was very small, the rest of the unit was spacious with plenty of room for us 4 adults. We enjoyed walking...

The owner Kay was very helpful and hospitable. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It was so helpful having the laundry and Kay helped me getting our wet gear clean and dry. We were on the West Coast Wilderness trail where we stayed here a night before we cycle to Tree Top walk and Lake Mahinapua. The tavern nearby served...
