A warm and friendly welcome from our hostess. Excellent and varied breakfasts. bA comfortable and clean home from home. The house is set in a medieval village of charm and located in an interesting wine region. We will return.
A charming family run hotel in the old and medieval village of Rions, close to Cadillac. Ours was a one night stop on a warm autumn evening. No sooner had we parked the car than we were able to enjoy a glass or two of the local wine in the small and atmospheric courtyard. Having a pre dinner walk around Rions was both enjoyable and interesting, confirming that we should stay longer next time we are in this area. The hotel does not have off road private parking but instead guests can park for free in a small quiet public car park alongside the hotel. It all felt very secure and our son could even see the car from his bedroom window. We pre booked an evening meal which was excellent, as was breakfast the following morning. There were restaurants in the town, but on the Monday we were there they appeared to be closed. Our rooms were comfortable, large enough and clean. The free Wifi reception was good. We will stay again and will again have our evening meal at the hotel. The only difference will be that we will book directly with them next time. As regards "Dexter" he is one very lucky dog to live in such a lovely part of the world and to be named after such a famous English Cricket Captain.…
Nathalie is a perfect host, looking after every detail. My room was spacious with ample storage and very clean. Strong wifi. Healthy breakfast with home made spreads. Part of the garden walls are the medieval city ramparts. Situated near very famous and less famous vineyards (discover!) , the hosts organise regular wine tastings. A bummer I could only stay one night. On my holiday bucket list.
A very pretty family run hotel in a wonderfully French village. Our room was clean, comfortable and very imaginatively decorated. Dinner, cooked by our hostess was some of the best we have eaten in France. The couple were very friendly, kind and helpful and made us feel really at home.
I stayed here 2 nights with 5 friends on a bike tour of Bordeaux. The house is located in a quiet village not far from Cadillac. Sophie has decorated it with furniture and art collected from all over the world. The rooms are a reasonable size, clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were very good. We enjoyed the first dinner so much, we ate again the second night, both time in the courtyard. All good value. Sophie has an interesting story; be sure to ask how she came to Rions.
