These are cabins in Madera Canyon just south of Tucson, AZ. They are very comfortable, We stayed for three days to Hike the trails, watch the wildlife and see the migrating Hummingbirds up close and personal. The weather was perfect, warm days cool evenings. We booked cabin #3 and were delighted. Each evening we enjoyed sitting on the back patio... More

We stayed in cabin 4 which bordered the creek. The cabin was rustic but clean and well-stocked. The small deck overlooked the creek area with good views of birds and I spotted a bear on the nearby hill shortly after we arrived. Wonderful sighting. The owner was friendly and helpful. There were fruits, cereals and snacks available in the cabin... More

Functional, old-school, reasonably private cottage in great location. Owners pleasant. Bring cash for stay and all your food as there are no atm/grocery facilities in the area. Saw a ton of birds, including Montezuma Quail, elegant trogon, and blue throated hummingbird. We had no cell or wifi service in the area, which was great for us.

We recently stayed at Madera Kubo during a long birdwatching vacation. Cora and Richard were very nice and helpful, and the area where the cabins are located is simply gorgeous. However, I'm afraid that is where our praise ends. Based on other reviews, we were prepared for rustic, but what we found was a cabin in need of work. There... More

My significant other and I stayed for 2 nights Feb 27-28 - we only live 30 miles away in Tucson, but wanted a little get-away, and this was perfect! We stayed in the a-frame #1 cabin. It had all the wonderful little touches of a custom-made log cabin. The craftsmanship of the structure was really neat. The front porch looked... More

We spent one night here during our winter southeast Arizona birding trip. I was worried when the website said it was heated by wood stove as I thought we would be cold. We arrived after dark and the fire was waiting for us which is a good thing as my husband and I are useless at starting a fire. At... More

We have stayed there twice and hope to return again and again. The cabins are rustic with very original carpentry. You have to see them to believe it. We were there last in December and had to keep the wood fire going! Luckily this was a chore I have had much experience doing. The remote setting means you won't have... More

Hello, I have never actually stayed there but have had two conversations with the owner that ensured I would never stay there, nor let anyone I know stay there. My husband and I were camping just a few miles from this B&B when we needed to leave around 1 am only to find our car battery had died. Unable to... More

We have stayed here once and are going to again in 2 days. It's quiet, clean, woodsy and rustic. We love the birds of Madera Canyon so it gets us close to them and the wildlife of the canyon. The owners are great and we are looking forward to returning.

We stayed in mid February 2014 in cabin #1. The site in Madera Canyon is about 13 miles SE of Green Valley AZ and very quiet. The cabin had a nice wood stove, front and rear porch and wild turkeys for wake up calls. We hiked the trails in the canyon, took a day trip to Tubac and enjoyed the... More
