My wife, my Mum and I spent a night at the Roxburgh Lodge recently. We had a two room apartment adjacent to the dining room. The rooms were well appointed and we had a small deck where we enjoyed some late afternoon sun. The lodge is near the dam, nestled among mature trees. It's quiet and pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed...

My wife and I had a wonderful 5 day stay at the Lake Roxburgh Lodge. Our room was spacious, very clean and thoughtfully planned and it had everything we needed; mini fridge, coffee and tea, mini wine bottles, bottled water, hair dryer and cable/satellite tv. Our hosts, Kim and Phil were very welcoming and helpful arranging day trips. They are...

After a full day on the Roxburgh Gorge trail it was a pleasure to be hosted by Phil & Kim in such a delightful spot. A former work camp for the men who built the Roxburgh Dam it has been turned into a fastidiously renovated lodge. The rooms are not large but have been renovated to a high standard and...

We stayed here while cycling the Roxburgh Gorge & Clutha Gold cycle trails. The hosts were lovely. The accommation was quite good considering the relatively remote location. The garden is a delight. We really appreciated the fabulous evening meal and breakfast provided. The host is a fabulous cook!

After a challenging day on the Roxburgh Gorge Trail I couldn't have ridden into a better place for the evening. Kim and Phil were tremendous hosts. Nothing was too much trouble, the room was great, bed comfortable and the food in their restaurant was really delicious. On a technological note - just because I know it's important to some -...

Stopped in here for lunch while cycling the Roxburgh cycle trail. Lovely surroundings, great host and food and drinks just when we needed them after a long ride. Recommended stop while riding this trail.

Warm and friendly welcome, beautifully decorated spacious rooms with super cosy , comfy bed. Great shower too! Most impressed with the very high standard of hygiene throughout the whole establishment. We enjoyed an early morning walk to the Roxburgh damp and then back for a delicious breakfast. Totally enjoyed stay here and will definitely be back.

We made a mistake of touring a week after the busy Chinese New Year. Luckily we managed to book into the Deluxe King Spa Studio Room for two nights. The king size bed gave a a good nights sleep. The room was stocked with the usually tea/coffee etc and having a refrigerator was useful. The bathroom was supplied with plenty...

This was a real surprise. A 5 star lodge hidden in a peaceful village. Phil was really helpful in getting our jet skis out of the water as close as possible to the lodge. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The restaurant was superb with Kim serving up award winning dishes. Thank you for the brilliant stay.

We have been staying in motels in NZ for 1.5 months now. This one cost the most for the least. Smallest room, no microwave or toaster, security light just outside doors on all night. We couldnt cook so ate at the restaurant. Food and portions were great - but beware, taxes were added later to the already really expensive prices...
