What a nice place to stay. The landlord was incredibly helpful. He even stayed up to make sure that we were in safe from our visit to the theater at Yeovil. I would thoroughly recommend this Inn. The decor/renovation is stunning and the setting is idyllic. We will re visit, one day.

Called in on spec for lunch on my birthday. Welcomed like old friends, service friendly and swift, just what we wanted, warm fire, tasty food and good choice of beers and wines. Would certainly return for evening meal when next nearby.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Helyar Arms. We came here for my husbands birthday as he wanted to go to the Haynes motor museum which is only about a 20 minute drive away from the hotel. Check in is at noon which was great for us as we got to make the most of our 1st...

Enjoyed a good pub lunch here, in what I think must be a refurbished pub/restaurant - and very well done out too, with a proper log stove, scrubbed tables and a classy feel to it. The menu was varied and good value - open sandwiches were filling and well-presented by pleasant staff, and wine by the glass excellent value here...

Very glad to see this Pub back on the map! New owners are doing a great job and I had a very very pleasant stay. Good menu and good wine, all made perfect with a gorgeous roaring log burner! Looking forwards to being back there in the summer

The last time we went to the Helyar it was on my partner's 40th 5 years ago. They had given our booked table away to another couple and had nothing suitable for me to eat on the menu (I am allergic to nuts and was pregnant at the time!) so we went elsewhere but I grew up in East Coker...

This was our second visit and just for one night this time. same room as last time and very comfortable and warm. Again a friendly and attentive greeting when we arrived. Dinner was very good and well sized portions. Breakfast was the same, very good. I am glad we found this pub and will be back again in April on...

We popped into The Helyar Arms for a drink after a country walk. It's cosy, welcoming, warm and friendly. Good range of drinks. It's well worth a visit. There is a lot of space for parking which is a great bonus.

food is over priced and not well cooked , service is ok . belly pork was defrosted and warmed in oven, the cracking was rubber /jelly texture. the best thing to have would be the burgers , come from local supplier. the set out of bar area has been well laid out and painted to a good finish

Great little pub in a gorgeous village. The hosts were very friendly and could not have been more helpful. Comfy bed in a very pretty room. We took our dog and he was made most welcome. We would definitely stay here again.
