After 30km on dirt roads we didn't expect to find such wonderful place out there! The rooms are excellent, dinner and breakfast fantastic, the area offers lots of activities - all of them within pure nature and far away from everything. We only stayed for one night which is definitely too short, so we need to come back next time.

We enjoyed two nights at the oyster bay. Although the surrounding is absolutely beautiful and the offer on outdoor activities is great we where not that satisfied with our room which did not fulfilled our expectation after visiting the images of the website of oyster bay. We believe, that there are newer and older chalets. Therefore we recommend explicit to... More

Dear Beuschel, Thank you for your review. We do see that we need to update our information on our website. At the moment we are busy creating a brand new exciting website and hope it will be up soon. This website will be more clear as to products and services on offer here at the lodge. I am however concerned... More

We had a family room, which is quite simple. But that's not important because if you come to oyster bay, you have to stay at the beach. It's a bit comparable to the beaches of St. Lucia (ZA) but the dunes are much nicer (yes, the water is much colder). The lodge has a lot of horses an offers horse... More

We spent one night here on our three week long road trip from Cape Town to PE. We drove from Plettenberg Bay to Oyster Bay enjoying wonderful sights along the way. We rented a boat at Keurbooms River Nature Reserve and enjoyed our trip up into the beautiful gorge. We loved our venture into Tsitsikamma and Storms River. Then we... More

Our family loved every moment of our stay at Oyster Bay. The staff went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable and the food was wonderful and the bay is just out of this world. My husband has been all over the world and he said it is the most beautiful beach he has seen. The location is... More

Great room with ensuite in the converted old cow shed just a short board walk away from the main hotel. Absolutely stunning location with lots of wildlife (on their private reserve) and virtually deserted beaches to stroll on. Food was mediocre however. We were promised a 5 course meal, but really only got three, as two of them were no... More

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at this lodge. From the moment of our arrival, the attentive and friendly staff went out of their way to make our stay an unforgettable and wonderful experience. I had mentioned in my reservation e mail that I would be celebrating a "milestone" birthday on the date of our arrival....and wow, I was spoilt... More

Long way to go, but you feel like in paradise. Rooms are ok, nothing special. Food is ok too. Staff is quite bad, needs to learn more to become a good host. But the bay is so amazing, you may forget the rest.

We recently stayed for 4 nights and came away feeling very rested. There is a blissful absence of rules and regulations, but the staff are friendly and helpful if you want to explore and be more active - there are several waymarked circular trails that take you through different landscapes, including over huge 'desertscape' sand dunes. Happy hunting ground for... More

This hidden gem is well tucked away along a gravel road which is a few Kms from anywhere. Once you get there you will appreciate the natural beauty of the surroundings adding to the 'get away from it all' feel.
