We had an amazing dinner here with our kids. The pizza is made in a stone oven made by the family. Geranamo took great care of us. He even played with my daughter while we ate. Delicious quiet meal near playa Negra and Avellanas! I had sangria which was delicious. My son had fresh lemonade that was perfect. Our salad...

My brother, my husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Kon Tiki. The accommodations are lovely and rustic, with the occasional howler monkey outside your bedroom window! The staff, particularly Giovanna were very welcoming and kind and made our stay so relaxing. Close to the beach but away from the noise, this was the perfect hideaway for us. You...

Kon Tiki is not built up a tree unfortunately, however some of the charmingly rustic hostel rooms near the brick pizza oven and dining area, give it a tree house feeling and it kind of feels like dining at Mowgli's (Jungle Book) house. The staff are casual, yet very efficient and really make you feel welcome and part of the...

Great food, service, and multinational atmosphere. The food is outstanding, specially their Pizza which is quite famous in Playa Negra. The staff (Giovanna, Jeronimo, and Marina) are really friendly they just make you feel like part of the family. Also, the guests that stay there are really welcoming so there is a lot of interaction between guests which is amazing...

Magic place! The atmosphere was so peaceful, vibrant of good vibes. It felt like home to me, also because staff and Giovanna were really nice and friendly, disposable and helpful. I absolutely recommend it to all: couples, backpackers, surfers. And they also do amazing pizza. Colourful heart of Playa Negra!

We went there 4 times during out time in Costa Rica. Love the pizza. Definitely try the lemonade and if you can get it or request it, ask them for the roasted check. Outstanding dish!! Lovely people. Can't wait to go back.

We went here several times during our stay in Costa Rica. The pizza is incredible as are the salads, lemonade, sangria, and also their specials. If they have the chicken special get it. It's outstanding. Overall great place to eat if you are in the area and definitely one not to miss.

I just returned from a week long stay at the Kon Tiki in Playa Negra. I checked in on a Wednesday night and the place was pretty quiet. I was shown to a small rustic cabina with two comfortable beds. It looked like it was going to be adequate since the plan was to surf by day and use the...

“Two rooms for 3, just next to each other, above the two bathrooms, one room for 2, and two dorms for 7 if i remember well, above each other. No particular advice for choosing, mainly depends on how many you are and how full it is. I was by myself and got a room for myself because the hostel was empty.”
