We'd mucked up a reservation in Cheltenham and we drove out to Cirencester, calling at every decent pub on the way to see if they'd take us and Winston, a very large black Labrador, for the night. We wanted cheer, an evening meal, bed and breakfast. I suppose we also wanted a friendly welcome, luxurious surroundings, beautiful countryside, a house...

Stopped for a leisurely lunch with friends and we're delighted to meet the owners. They charmed us with the 300 yr old history of the Inn/Pub. And we lunched on delicious Venison Pie, a Ploughman's Lunch, and Fried Gammon & Eggs. The local beers were a nice addition.

Stumbled on this after using trip advisor to find a lunch pub nearby. Ideal. The app guided us there perfectly. We arrived just before opening, and the staff let us in to read the menu and order soft drinks whilst waiting. It is a truly lovely place, big and well-maintained whilst still genteel. It has class. The chap who dealt...

Visited today after taking a friend down to Cirencester for a charity Bi-Plane Wing Walk. Arrived early for a spot of lunch and were very pleased. From the politeness and facilitating nature of the person with whom I booked I was impressed with this location from start to finish. There was plenty on the menu, although I would say the kids menu didn't accommodate for those under 5 (but on speaking to the staff I arranged a smaller portion for a smaller price). The outside area...

Great food, lovely garden and very friendly people. We visited this pub for 2 Sunday roasts and thought the food was delicious both times. We had Beef, Lamb and the vegetarian Wellington. The staff were very friendly and helpful and our 15 month old daughter and dog were very welcome too. The garden is lovely and has a large pond...

Four of us met here for lunch, and ate outside in the garden. The setting is very good with a big garden complete with lake and stream. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food is the high-end of pub grub. Between us, we had fish, scampi and pie. All cooked and presented well. This all combined to make a...
