We wanted to stay somewhere with character and Common Barn Farm was perfect. Charming room in the B&B on a working farm. Rona was the perfect host and the breakfast was amazing, complete with feeding the horses the left over toast. Perfectly placed for touring the beautiful Peak District. Looking forward to a return visit.

horrendous don't go I wasted my time with this company it needs to burn to the ground the reason I think this is because the service was too poor and also I found rodents in my room however the food was delicious if you were a sewer rat living in this cottage because that is what I think of this...

A great place for those wishing to be away from bustling city life. Active working farm, but we were not bothered by farm smells. Nice room with good views. Comfortable bed. Rona went out of her way to help us with our delayed luggage. Really need a car. Good breakfasts - try the black pudding.

When we first arrived we found our name and a key in the door so we walked in and made ourselves at home. The owner, Rona came soon thereafter and welcomed us. She was so helpful and accommdating. She gave us a lot of helpful tips. She also made us the most delicious English breakfasts. The B&B is a working...

I had a 3 night stay and it was like staying with friends, I had a lovely clean room and to lay in bed listening to the local birdlife was living the dream. It is situated in the middle between the hustle and bustle of Buxton and Macclesfield you could have been anywhere in the world, my drive to and...

The farm is a great place to stay for getting away from it all and it suited us and what we very much needed. Easy to access by car but easy to not use the car too if you are a keen walker. As we live in central London this is our main criteria. (You can still walk to and...

We stopped here for one night during February. It was freezing cold outside but toasty inside, the guest communal area is very comfortable (lovely underfloor heating) and offers a great view out over the Peak District. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Rona the owner was very helpful and chatty and her full English breakfast set me up nicely...

In short, our stay was awful. This is largely due to the owners attitude toward their guests and unclean bathroom with a bag with used tampons and other waste. My girlfriend and I stayed here one night for our anniversary and thought we could come back every year. But, the rooms have nasty mattresses and cheap quality furnishings- like a...

My husband and I spent a few days at this b and b and it was brilliant. Rona, the owner, was so friendly and helpful, the breakfast was to die for, dont know where she gets her sausages from but they were lovely. The house was lovely and warm and really clean. Our room, a twin, was lovely and welcoming...

We visited the Peak District in October 2015 during half-term, and stayed in Meadow Cottage, one of the self-catering cottages, for six nights. I would recommend this cottage for a family of four, but there are many other options as Rona owns a number of other cottages, plus she also offers B&B accommodation on the farm, so there is something...
