Location The lodge is as close as it can get to the cave Nam Lod. It is perched on the slope overseeing a river. Very nice location. The owner made it such a way that the flora and fauna in the area is not disturb. I absolutely love the nature of the lodge. You can just spend the whole day... More

I came to Cave Lodge with one purpose in mind: to do self-guided hiking. I love hiking in the hills, but I hate organized group tours. If you are like me, you will have a tough job doing much hiking around Chiang Mai (and skip Pai straight away) because anywhere you ask about maps/routes, response is invariably "go there to... Cave Lodge is an amazing place to stay. It is roughly 4 hour drive from Chiang Mai and in the middle of the forest. Let me tell about this place one by one: 1) Directions: Well, all you need is google maps on your phone and yes.. that's it. We rented a car from Chiang Mai and the overall 170km... More

Beautifully located in the hillside overlooking a river, only a short walk from the jaw dropping Tham Lod cave and a myriad of adventure options, this is a place for intrepid travellers, real adventure seekers. It belongs off the beaten track. If you want an authentic experience of Northern Thai culture, to be taken to caves no-one else will take... More

This was my second time visiting Cave Lodge and it was a quick visit. Some friends and I drove our motorbikes from Pai to Soppong and then went to Cave Lodge. It's a really cool place and a good spot to post up before exploring the surrounding trails and caves. Lots of hiking trails that will get you up among... More

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of the 'Mae Hong Son Loop' (which I would highly recommend). Nang immediately made us feel welcome and showed us to a bungalow room. We were told that the water is heated by the fire in the kitchens so can take a while to run warm. We felt this added to the... More

I loved my stay at Cave Lodge. The lodge is in the forest with nothing much around, which I really loved. I spent everyday outside. I wish I could have done some more of their trips, but since I was traveling alone, it was a bit expensive. WIth a few people though they would be a great deal! John and... More
