My husband and I make it a point to visit this hotel for our romantic getaway anniversary and birthday celebration every year. We have done this for 10 years every year. They are so accommodating and eager to please. The rooms are all decorated in different motifs that are out of this world. Pure class. It's quite and very serene. We...

As you arrive to El Fuerte you get the sense you are arriving to the standard mid size town. Bustling cobblestone streets imply there is some sort of history in this town, but the colonial style buildings don't reveal many secrets beyond their stucco facades. El Fuerte is a required stop over to access the Sierra Madres from the West...

We stayed here on the way out and back from the Copper Canyon. It was a lovely boutique hotel. We got to see a lot of rooms and they are all different and uniquely decorated. Look on their site to see some of them. There is an interesting bar and beautiful courtyard area both covered and not. The restaurant served...

Our train arrived late and in a lighting storm. We walked around town to 4 different hotels and all were booked up. We finally found Torres and they had a room. It was amazing to say the least. The room decore was unique and bathroom outstanding. In the morning we got to explore the grounds as we did not see...

A beautiful old hotel in an old Mexican city. Each room is wonderfully decorated and have comfortable beds, covered and uncovered courtyard, with gorgeous flowers blooming. It also has a small tavern with indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant was formal with traditional Mexican dishes as well as seafood on the menu. However, breakfast was only fair to poor for...

This is a converted old mansion near the central square, so you can't beat the location or the ambience. The rooms are each unique. We were given the room right next to the entrance (#5) off the main street. The room with its 18 to 20 foot ceilings has two large arched doorways (with wooden shutters) opening to the street...

A restored 19th century mansion only half a block from main plaza. All the rooms were different & quirky. Inner courtyard grounds were well kept & special. The bar & dining room were well done & we as a group had dinner as we took over most of this small hotel. But we were not obliged to sit in banquet...

We stayed one night as part of our Copper Canyon tour and enjoyed the charm and history of the hotel. The hotel is a combination of an old colonial home with rooms around the courtyard, some old adobe buildings in the rear and a set of newer rooms at the far rear (newer but built to look old), Our room...

We stayed one night as part of our tour & loved the charm, the history, the food, the native dancing. But... in 4 of our rooms, the air conditioning went out & a while later, all power in our rooms also went out, leaving us stifling in 30 degrees heat at 10pm. No staff could be found that could help...
