We stayed at Boskenna Home Farm for two weeks in early November. This has to be the best place to stay in Cornwall! The standard of the accommodation is exceptional, it is clean, up to date and of high quality with lots of little things added in. Julia is exemplary in her hosting, nothing is too much trouble and she is always on hand if needed. The food that Julia provides is also first class. The location is fantastic, central to West Cornwall yet quiet and away from any busy roads. Just 5 minutes from the SW coastal path between Lamorna and Penberth one can stay without needing to use the car. Boskenna Home Farm demonstrates that there is only one way to have a holiday in Cornwall and its at this well appointed location with such wonderful hosts.

Having just completed a little road trip around Devon and Cornwall I felt compelled, now we are home, to write a review about Boskenna Home Farm. We stayed here for 3 nights and could not have been made more welcome. We were delayed and did not get there until the evening and Julia, although she had a prior engagement, made our check in very easy by leaving our key and came to say hello as soon as she returned. We stayed in one of the seperate cottages attached to the main house which was beautifully furnished with a lovely en-suite shower room. There were lots of nice little touches in the room, like biscuits and coffee/tea making facilities, hairdryer etc and I feel sure that if we needed anything Julia would have been more than happy to facilitate it for us. Her breakfasts were absolutely delicious with plenty of variety and choice of cooked. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in a home from home in Cornwall.

The pleasure of staying at Boskenna Home Farm already started while booking. We needed a few administrative steps for our insurance and Julia was of immediate, efficient and gentle help. The farm is lovely, set among fields and is extremely quiet. The areas for guests and the ample rooms are very well-furnished and equipped with all attentions for a pleasant and care-free sojourn, with plenty of gentle attentions. Ed’s and pillows ensure a deep sleep after exciting days out. Bathroom is spacious and furnished with soaps and hair-dryer. Julia is always present when needed, full of advices and indications (and a big store of maps and books that she kindly let) on the surroundings and her award-winning breakfast is none less than legendary!

We stayed in the Shepherd’s Hut, which is a really well designed, beautifully furnished haven in a well appointed location in SW Cornwall. The welcome, from mine hosts, Julie & Godfrey was so warm, as was the well positioned hot tub. The hut provided a comprehensive modern kitchen with cooker, fridge and log burner. The king-size bed was really comfortable and the bathroom and shower were modern and well provided. All in all, despite the weather, we had a fantastic stay. The on site B&B and self catering cottage reflect the fantastic standard of the cosy Shepherd’s Hut. Thank you, Julie and Godfrey for a lovely week and your friendly advice! We’ll be back! 💛

We just had the best week with Julie at Boskenna Farm! We had two rooms, the Stables and the coach house. One room had a double bed and the other had a double bed and a single bed. Breakfast every morning was super delicious. Loads of juice and beautifully cooked. Julie couldn't be more helpful. She gave us great tips and suggestions for our stay which really helped. Unfortunately one night my little one was sick and vomitted all over the sheets and her crochet blanket (we were morrified) but Julie was so kind and even cleaned the blanket. One very happy little girl later. So a massive thanks from all of us and a big recommendation for anyone that likes a quiet, out in the sticks, picturesque location with delicious breakfasts and very comfortable accommodation xx

We spent 4 nights in the Coach House B&B at Boskenna Home Farm. Accomodation superb. Room serviced every day. Julia was a consumate host, friendly and attentive to any needs that we had. Breakfasts were amazing. I need to eat 'gluten free', providing my own GF bread which Julia was happy to slice for toast each morning. Our stay was peaceful and relaxing. I would recommend Buskenna Home Farm to anyone wanting a peaceful B&B break

What a wonderful weekend away in the Shepherd’s Hut! We were greeted by the lovely Julia on arrival, who had baked us some fresh scones and left us some jam and clotted cream, as well as some fresh apple juice and milk. We enjoyed our cream tea in the sun and then a drink in the hot tub.

The bed is very comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped with saucepans and Tupperware for pack lunches. The bathroom and shower are very luxurious with the waterfall shower head and the mirrored lights.

We were very lucky with the weather and visited nearby Porthcurno for a beach day on the Sunday - it was a little bit chilly in the evening so it was perfect having the log burner for an ultimate hygge experience.

Highlights for us were seeing a shooting star whilst in the hot tub (there’s no light pollution at all so the star gazing is brilliant), seeing a bird of prey fly right past the Shepherd’s Hut window and of course the glorious hot tub, which can be enjoyed in any weather.

Recently stayed here for three nights before heading over to the Isles of Scilly. Stayed in one of the courtyard suites which was very spacious, comfortable, peaceful and beautifully decorated. Made use of the fridge and lots of tea and coffee etc Lovely big bathroom with bath and a shower. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of options and Julia is such a good cook. We had to leave early on our last morning to get the ferryboat and Julia made sure we didn't miss out on our breakfast despite it being a lot earlier than her usual time so that was much appreciated. Loads to do in the area and restaurants not too far away. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Julia goes far more than the extra mile to make you feel at home and look after you. My husband was not well and the kindness we received was everything you could wish for. Our bedroom was spotless and the twin beds very comfortable. The breakfasts were really tasty, pancakes for breakfast is now a must as far as I am concerned. The surroundings are lovely and very quiet and peaceful. The walks around were full of Spring flowers. We are really looking forward to our return visit in September and have booked the same weeks for 2023 and way into the future, tempus fugit permitting.
