Beautiful hotel! Lovely rooms and grounds, good food. The archeological site was very interesting: first-century synagogue and town of Mandala ruins. Most of all, I loved the chapel with its clean modern design and focus on women.
Wonderful! A great hotel with excellent rooms, staff, food, and incredible archeological sites with a beautiful church! There are many volunteers there to give you a tour of the ruins of the 1st century synagogue, with the world famous Magdala stone. The staff were very kind and spoke great English. I would love to stay here again!
The hotel is in an amazing and historic location. Well designed and worth a look. Staff are friendly but undertrained or not willing to learn. Great site but not if you are expecting a first class experience. Sunrise on the beach of the Sea of Galilee is amazing. Good food. Perhaps a lot of staff turnover, as the staff is abrupt and not efficient. We had booked for 3 nights but they moved us out after 2 nights to accommodate a different group coming in. No sense. Book for 3 days, told to leave after 2 nights. They got a bigger group, but the 37 people in my group were not happy.....
We were on a Holy Land Pilgrimage and this hotel was one of the highlights! The staff was friendly. The rooms were modern and CLEAN! The location is one of a kind! Gorgeous chapels, beautiful views of the Sea of Galilee and I loved that they preserved the archaeological site! I wish we had spent more time here.
An incredibly unique experience inside of a luxurious hotel, located within a very useful place near every important place of Galilee. Very comfortable environment, diverse culture within the hotel, and exquisite food and service. Come and experience the beauties this place has to offer!
A beautiful hotel and awesome staff! We were meeting a travel tour that was delayed leaving the USA. The staff was wonderful in helping us find transportation to see some sites while we waited the four days to join them. Their breakfast buffet ( as was dinner) was expansive and delicious! The restaurant next door, Magdalena, is a tasty, enjoyable experience! The rooms are clean, the archeological site was right there to walk through, and the Sea of Galilee is right there to walk to. Top notch hospitality from our bartenders, Nabih and Osher!
Lovely hotel with great amenities, very good restaurant and archeological ruins bonus. There is a worship center with beautiful modern mosaics and interesting chapel. Near biblical sites, plenty of things to do.
We went on a Pilgrimage to Holy Land and stayed at Magdala Hotel which was Amazing! It is designed with every detail in mind; Father Juan Solana is extremely Dedicated along with its Friendly Staff makes this Hotel as your own home. There is a Boutique located on the Lobby of hotel with unique art and Jewelry pieces; there is also a shop located outside on the Archeological site with grater variety of items. You Must Visit St Joseph’s Chapel located in main lobby; needless to say You must visit the main Church “DUC IN ALTUM” for personal reflexion, adoration, etc. MAGDALA hotel has the Sea of Galilee right behind it; so peaceful filled with Nature and many history. Tarichaea Restaurant serves delicious buffet with many different variety. I Highly Recommend MAGDALA Hotel and will definitely go back.…
Staying at The Magdala Hotel was so amazing! It is truly a beautiful hotel, with many amenities, archeological sites, stores, shopping center across the street with supermarket. The breakfast and dinner buffet were great. What was most important to me was that it is also a place of prayer with the St. Joseph Chapel and the Duc in altum church, right next to the Sea of Galilee! The priests, consecrated women and volunteers are fantastic and there are opportunities to join a tour of this amazing place!
This hotel is just fantastic! I was with a group in a pilgrimage and was a lovely experience. The nice view of the lake, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, the food is excellent, the staff and volunteers very friendly and efficient. The church and St. Joseph's chapel so beautiful. I had the opportunity to confess with a priest without any rush. Plus the ruins of the sinagoga that we could see any time. I highly recommend this hotel!
