My husband, our 3 year old daughter and I thought we would try it as it was our wedding anniversary, very disappointed. We ordered a mixed grill for my husband, and curry of the day for me and a child's chicken nuggets, chips and peas for our daughter, the the curry was so hot it about blew my head off,...

This Hotel is beguiling, its low key and a little idiosyncratic but it delivers with a punch. Both a friend and I were on a charity cycle ride from Chester to Cardiff and the Lowfield was our planned 1st stop. Our room was very clean, crisp clean sheets and duvets. The staff could not do enough for us. Bringing up...

So long as you don't mind being in a rural village location, the Lowfield is perfect with lovely food, drinks, friendly staff and comfortable rooms. We had an early start so a continental breakfast was left for us in the guest area. Nothing was too much trouble and we enjoyed our stay.

Spent a few days here with my sister who had limited mobility. Staff were AMAZING to us both. Breakfast was brought to our room each morning. A breakfast that would feed a hungry man. The view each morning on outside terrace set us up for each day. A fantastic place to recharge your batteries. The bar had a family atmosphere...

We stayed here for one night on our way to Wales. The room was clean, spacious and had everything thing you needed. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The evening meal was very good and there was a good selection of real ales. Breakfast was provided at a time that suited you and was really delicious. Would...

It is a lovely pub and restaurant in quaint surroundings. Delicious food, bright pub and restaurant. Pub and restaurant staff are very accommodating. Clean. Place to chill out, rest, and rewind. Like the other b&b's we visited on our trip this fall, save yourself money, and the b&b owner booking costs, by contacting the b&b owner directly instead of booking...

We visited with another couple and we all thought this place went above and beyond to look after us during our stay. The staff were so friendly they made us feel right at home. The food was very tasty, I mistakenly ordered a dish with potatoes for one of my meals and the chef offered me an alternative which I...

We stayed at this lovely Inn as a last minute getaway for one night. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, they were happy to accommodate our request for a late breakfast and we weren't rushed out of the restaurant the previous evening despite being the last ones there by far. It really is out of...

We enjoyed a one night stay here with dinner (see restaurant review) and breakfast and were made very welcome from the minute we walked in. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, we were shown our room (Cockerel) and it suited our needs perfectly. Good value at £70 b&b. Very comfortable and quiet room and since there are only...

We stayed at the Lowfield Inn on route to Barmouth. The weather on the way down here was very wet and windy which didn't make for good riding as we were on motorbikes. All that was soon forgotten when we were greeted and shown to our room by a lady on the bar. We stayed in the cow room which...
