Booked a room for a birthday weekend along with the Christmas party on the evening of 4th December. Room was small but lovely .clean warm with toiletries .We used the Spa which we also found very good outside jaccuzi was a little cool but very nice we would definitely return However the evening party was not so good after attending every year covid permitting this time was a let down. Christmas dinner with no parsnips or sprouts and 1 pig in blanket no tea or coffee and wrong deserts served was very poor for Hilton and price. I did complain on the day and by phone call on return the also by email to have feedback basically telling me it's the chef word against mine and it's difficult to say who is telling the truth! So would I stay again yes would I eat there no thank you Shane on you Hilton if a customer wanted to lie I guess they would think of something better than a sprout. Very poor service

Booked a night here for myself and my mum as a Christmas present with intentions of using the spa facilities advertised, I paid a little extra and booked us into a deluxe twin room instead of a standard, upon arrival we were informed of a free upgrade however when entering the room it was quite clear we were not in a deluxe let alone and upgrade on a deluxe. The room was very basic like something you would see in a well known low budget hotel, having read the description on the rooms we could see that both the deluxe and standard twin rooms are in fact exactly the same so I paid more than necessary to start with, according to their website we should of had an iron, alarm clock and movies on the tv however we had none of these items. When we arrived at the spa it looked clean and relaxing we used the sauna steam room and jacuzzi then decided to use the relaxation room after 10-15 minutes we could hear alot of banging and commotion coming from outside of the room so we decided to head to the pool where we were greeted by a lot of children attending swimming lessons so we could not use the pool had we of been informed of this we would of booked for another day especially as the main intention of our visit was to use the spa facilities and I did explain this to the lady I spoke to when booking. Between the hotel and restaurant we spent a lot of money, 2 hour drive for a relaxing night away from children and ended up being surrounded by them with very little relaxation and a very standard room, when checking out we were asked about our stay and I explained the situation the lady on the front desk to which she responded with “ aww is it? Well thank you for your stay enjoy the rest of your day” very disappointed would not recommend and will not be returning

Overpriced hotel with shabby rooms, room not cleaned after first night sleep disturbed due to wedding going on until 3am. Reported the room not cleaned to reception who didn’t seem to believe us at 10.30 pm but reluctantly came to investigate, no explanation given.
