There were 11 of us getting together foe a meal after a year of not seeing each other. The Talbot arranged for us to have a comfy room with a fire and the dining table just behind lovely sofa's. The staff were excellent and really friendly and the food was delicious. We are definitely going back in the future.

Third visit and love this place as much now as we did the first time. The staff as always are really friendly. We stayed two nights in room 3. As always the food was lovely. Fish and chips, yummy! And for me the croque Monsieur that we both had for lunch was fantastic, really really tasty! Only slightly negative comment...

We dropped in without a booking on a busy Saturday. The staff were professional and friendly, finding us a lovely table near the fire, and making sure that we had everything we needed as new patrons. The menu is superb, offering a great selection of locally sourced ingredients, cooked to perfection. This is a top place and we are already...

Visited this Farrow and Ball make-over pub for lunch. Steaks and a burger were tasty but we would have appreciated some additional vegetables to bulk up what were rather mean portions. To tell you the truth we went home hungry and I for one had to fill up with cheese and biscuits. Likewise with the plum and ginger puddings, which...

On the face of it this is an inn with rooms but it has the quality and luxury of a boutique hotel. Real comfort and elegance and rustic charm with great decor and products (Cowshed) in the rooms, five star food, cosy fireside seating, lovely garden, great walks nearby. I'd rather stay here than at Babington House which is just...

Beautiful and characterful 12th Century former coach house lovingly converted into 5 star accomodation. The food and service at breakfast and dinner (all 3 nights) was exceptional. Our family room was in fact more like a suite/small flat with a double and twin room with it's own front door and shared bathroom was perfectly appointed for my partner, I &...

Spent a night here on recommendation of a family member. It is in a lovely setting, overlooked by the village church. We had an upgrade to an extra large room, which was on the ground floor, near the entrance. It was spacious and elegantly furnished with a four poster bed and huge bathroom with a great shower and roll top...

The pub itself is lovely, such welcoming staff and a good choice of drinks! We were led to a table near a window and radiator - which in this weather is needed! Food was to die for however for the price you pay would expect a little more. Would love to return on an evening to get the real atmosphere...

We first stayed at the Talbot Inn last year for our mini-moon and we loved it so much we came back for our anniversary! We stayed in one of the very large rooms which is over the bar. The room is absolutely gorgeous with a roll top bath and so much space. Excellent staff with a great service
