It was our first time choosing to stay at FS Chiangmai and I am super impressed. The hotel surely delivered Four Seasons experience in every aspect. It was very well located away from city centre, and together with the rice fields setting, it made the hotel stand out from other luxury hotel in Chiang Mai. The Staffs are the gems of the hotel itself. Everyone we met from our arrival to the departure was very friendly, genuine, and professional. I would like to give a special recognition for some of them. - Khun Art checked me in with very warm and friendly attitude. - A lady with glasses at the buffet line greeted us every morning with her kind and attentive conversation, she really made our mornings. - Lastly, kudos to every buggy drivers! Love to have a conversation with them on every rides. There are a few points to improve as well. - Breakfast was set in a tight location, so it was quite a traffic during peak time. Choice of food was a bit limited but great taste. - The pathway in the rice field was uneven and had a big hole at that time, I have got sprained ankle when I was on my way to buffalo bathing. All in all, it was a great stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

We spent 3 weeks in Thailand, and this was by far the best luxury 5 star resort that we stayed at. Everything came together; the room quality, the grounds and unique setting, and most of all the staff. Pros: - Unique setting. It has its paddy field and lake, and getting a room overlooking it was amazing - Rooms are very well maintained and classy. Everything worked flawlessly without hassle (this was the Upper Rice Terrace Pavilion). Bed, showers, air-con... everything working perfectly. - Lots of free activities daily that are very interesting to partake - Great food. The best buffet breakfast out of our 5 luxury hotels in Thailand, and also a great lunch and dinner restaurant. Their afternoon tea is superb (albeit a bit pricey at full price, better on promo) - The staff. The friendliest staff in all our stay. - Going above and beyond. I had a cut to my hand one day, and they were so swift in fetching the resident first-aider, who then consulted a doctor. They then immediately arranged free transfer to the hospital in Chiang Mai. And everyone, from General Manager downwards, followed up with me after to make sure I was OK. - Good service poolside. Immediate towels, ice water, and easy to order drinks. - Free bikes to rental. I recommend you take a 1-2 hour easy gentle biking trip, to the nearby temple, and then to some trendy coffee shops nearby. Ask the staff for recommendations. - I booked via a Virtuoso travel agent and got a free upgrade from the base Garden Pavilion to the Upper Rice Terrace Pavilion, which was a nice surprise! It was also somewhat empty/low season, so your mileage might vary in high season. Cons: - Tennis courts are not free to use, they really should be for guests - On-site restaurant is pricey. The food is great, but its European prices - Not in Chiang Mai town, so if you want to do stuff in the city it is a good 30 minutes drive in - Lack of good high quality restaurants nearby, walking distance or short ride, for food. There is one right across the entrance though, a European restaurant - We tried the spa out, and the massage was OK, but nothing spectacular Overall, a really good choice for Chiang Mai. I suggest you do a few nights here for the experience, and a few nights inside the city itself, to tour the city sights. If you're considering this or the Anantara, this was far superior to the Anantara Chiang Mai. No comparison.

It was the most correctly decision for selecting to stay at the Four Seasons Chiang Mai. Throughout our stay here, we are treated with the best welcome. The breakfast res. staff are very hospitable, especially Khun Nun and Khun Yu. Interesting activities here are learning how to rice planting and buffalo bathing. I'm very happy to stay here! Also, the beautiful countryside of Mae rim is fantastic.

Late check in: we weren’t able to to check in until almost 5 pm but the hotel offered us with so many complementaries/ discounts that we felt made up for it Dinner: only one Restuarant (although they claimed to have full occupancy) opened so the food was a little lacking of variety but they all taste pretty standard to good Breakfast: a little disappointed (in term of taste) comparing to other four seasons in Thailand. I think if they had offered alacarte dish, it would be much better. Staff: all staffs from manager, check in staffs, spa, restaurant, activities, pool and gym are great! Very happy

Thanks to FS Chiang Mai team for the warmth that remained unchanged. 1. Check-in was fast and the room was ready from the moment we arrived. 2. Thank you for upgrading to the room in the Upper Rice Terrace, the view is lovely. And on the terrace, we enjoy sitting down and relaxing. 3. It was the right decision to pay for the upgrade to the residence on the 2nd night. I adore discovering new things throughout every trip and checking out different rooms is an exciting goal. 4. It's as good as ever for the dining room. Thanks for the kind care of us by Khun Pok, Khun Ging and Khun noon. And we were trying to eat in the North restaurant this time. We've tasted Lamb, Wagyu Beef, Salmon, and Sea bass. All the grilled menus are wonderful here, let's say. And that's North's strength. 5. Thanks for the cute little birthday cupcake and BD Set up, we enjoyed it very much.
