The resort is located 20km from Chiang Mai on the edge of the sleepy farming village of Huai Sai. We have three convenience stores in the village, one restaurant and a beautiful temple. We built the resort in the middle of the rice fields near the main entrance road to the village. We have two working rice fields in the middle of the resort and we are surrounded by beautiful nature. Locally we have many major tourist attractions, some within just a 5 minute cycle (or motorbike) ride on flat country roads. We have staff to assist us with various duties from looking after the extensive grounds to cooking and cleaning. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and our customer focused attitudes.

Had a lovely stay away from hectic Bangkok. Clean bungalows, peaceful quiet location, great food, nice bar for chatting with owners Peter and Ying. Visit from the family pet, an enormous pot bellied pig called Jai Dee who wanders around enjoying herself. Only 30 mins from Chaing Mai airport but seems a world away. Loved it and will return.

So many birds in the rice fields surrounding cottage no. 7. Pristine newish buildings crafted by the owner Pete, who moved here from Southern Thailand. So peaceful. Sleep to the hum of insects, frogs, creatures of the night. You can dine on the property, which is handy way out here. Be sure to try the local rice berry rice. At night, Pete opens up the outdoor bar, pours himself a beer over ice and chats with visitors. Gorgeous pool. Family’s large pet pig Jaidee roams about at night. She thinks she’s a human, says Pete.

Such a beautiful place to stay. Comfortable room, great scenery, great service. Everyone is lovely. Such a hidden gem in MaeRim. We did a cooking class here. Got taken to the local market to shop for the food, prepare, then cook under guidance. Ying and Pete are so lovely and welcoming.

The location is fantastic and Pete, the British owner has done a fantastic job of creating it out of a paddy field site. What you see in the advertising images is what you get and we loved it. We were in Chalet no 7 which is the one on its own and it was lovely and peaceful. We were able to rent a motorbike from the owner and drive around over the mountains and really you need to do this or have a car if you want to see anything. The roads in this area a quiet with very little traffic so you will be safe, if you ride sensibly. The bed was comfy and the rooms were finished off to a high standard, I believe Pete is so hands on that he even constructed the beds. Cons I know Pete will read this but I want him to know that we really did enjoy our stay but I want to offer constructive criticism. I simply had the feeling that while the rooms and the resort where finished to a high standard in other places you have taken you eye off the ball, and it felt a bit like penny pinching. For instance. A kettle and big cups and saucers are provided - but no complimentary tea or coffee to go with it - we had to buy out own from the shop down the road. In the bathroom no shower gel and shampoo - there was a glass bottle full of yellow soap stuff that allowed a small amount out so I simply unscrewed the top to get the amount in needed to wash - but my wife was not impressed, in other places separate gel and shampoo is provided - she used stuff she had to buy. The towels provided were mismatched on one day and really has seen better days. This is picky I know but you are selling your self as a nice resort. We were also disappointed with the food. One the same day as Lyn left you a negative review (Saturday) of the evening meal we were also disappointed. We were looking forward to eating here because as you highlight in your marketing your wife does cooking schools we were expecting a high standard. My wife's Pad Thai was undercooked and the prawn had not been cleaned properly - we have eaten Pad Thai and prawns a lot in Thailand so 'that's the Thai way' doesn't wash Im afraid. My Green curry was also a disappointment. The chicken was not breast meat but fatty pieces that I couldn't eat, there were a few mushrooms and some green beans and that was it. I was also served what you called 'Red Rice' which you yourself told me you didn't like - so why was it being served to paying guests? It was very chewy. You wife took 100 Bhat off us for a meal we hardly ate. You will notice we didn't eat there again. Except for breakfast which we didn't particularly enjoy and could be better, plus I couldn't understand why a bowl of cereal took longer to come out then my cooked breakfast. Also small coffee cups and no offer of refills (it was clear that the day after we complained about your wife cooking she was a little cold towards us - but hey ho)

Room Tip: Chalet 7 is the best - the superior room - we loved it right out in the paddy field.
