If you want to get away from the big city of Amsterdam but still be close to everything this is the place. There were 4 of us in a 2 room apartment that was very clean and cozy, the beds were comfortable and we had plenty of room to move around. We had a kitchen that we used for breakfast...

We stayed for 8 days, the hosts were lovely and welcoming, the place is located 35 km south of Amsterdam in the perfect location for excursions all over the Netherlands. The place is clean and inviting and very well maintained. The childrened enjoyed the open spCes and the farm animals. I strongly recommend to stay on the farm.

If you think Holland equals Amsterdam and holidays there equal stag do’s and ‘coffee shops’, then think again. The Netherlands offer excellent opportunities for couples and families to get away from all of that and experience the real Netherlands. Stay in a lovely rural location like the St Nicolaashoeve, go for walks in the countryside, visit the local city farm...

My husband and I spent three days at the farm in April 2012. Our apartment above the farmer's residence was well equipped and sparkling clean. The beds were cozy. Gerhard clearly loves his animals and the twice daily rhythm of milking. The farm's location, though in a very small town, is convenient for day trips to major cities and attractions,...

We stayed for a week in one of the two bedroom apartments that had 2 twin beds in each. We were warmly welcomed by Gerard and any questions we had he answered. The facilities were great; could do our laundry. The beds were very comfortable and the layout worked really well for a family of four. Loved the landscape; the...

My party, some of whom had very young children, were here for about a week. A really excellent "rural" escape - manageable (but only just!) depending on public transport, but would be better with a car. With a car, would make a nice and convenient jumping-off point for Amsterdam and the other northern Dutch cities. Really lovely landscape in the...
