I was last in Nowra on business in late 2019. Again took the smart move to drive 20 minutes through picturesque dairy country to the little Oyster hamlet of Greenwell Point. If you haven't heard of it, its a Quiet fishing village best described as clean, beautiful, friendly. Would be an ideal base for 3-5 day stay to explore the region. Only stayed one night at Anchor Bay Motel this time - great accom facing the water for a fabulous price. Big room with enough space for me to spread out & undertake computer/office work in comfort. Small things are important & once again the standard of Linen (sheeting & towels) is outstanding. During this recent trip from Batemans, Wollongong, Highlands & Canberra I stayed at 5 motels in the $150-$225.00 category/night. Only the Anchor Bay is worthy of a positive review & I paid more to stay at the others.…
I must admit that Greenwell Point was not on my radar but could not have been happier here. Because of a triathlon in Huskisson, all the hotels on the bigger towns were full. The welcome on arrival signified that luck had directed me to a winner. The room is comfortable with a view overlooking the river and harbour with a kiddies playground just across the street. The number of fisherpersons indicated that there was good fishing from the safety of the harbour. The only complaint is that the top of the shower door frame should be 10cm higher, but being tall, my head is accustomed to being bumped. The village is quiet and peaceful with the big smoke of Vincentia and Huskisson just a short drive away. Would I stay here again? Absolutely yes. If I did not have to get home, I would have extended my stay.…
Beautiful river views and a very comfortable, well appointed suite. An excellent motel with a lovely riverfront park and walkway adjacent. And a special thank you to Averill for your friendly welcome and first class service.
Great relaxing stay. Would definitely stay again. Close to great Fish & Chips, Pub local shops and amenities. Nice tranquil surroundings, close to water way and a lovely walkway. BBQ facilities, ample picnic seating.
Friendly proprietor, great quiet location, very clean and recently renovated rooms, fluffy towels! We enjoyed the two nearby cafe/fish and chip shops and the council pool next door. Also walking distance to the pub and IGA. Rooms have fridge, toaster, microwave and kettle.
