    Being owned by 7 cats we couldn't drive past.... what a lovely place. Pretty, relaxing and very welcoming, we loved the cat inn. The steak and ale pie was just the best and very reasonably priced. With a couple of glasses of generously priced wine...More

    Found by chance approximately 6 years ago we have lunched at The Cat several times and it never disappoints. We have taken various friends who are always delighted with the ambience, the food and the service.

    We stopped here for lunch on a walk from Balcombe to East Grinstead & would highly recommend it. Very good menu, delicious food, lovely staff, dog friendly & overall great pub! What more could you want?!

    Went for my wife's birthday. Lovely comfortable, cosy pub, not pretentious, friendly relaxed service, fantastic meals. My wife had a vegetarian starter (Artichokes) and I had black pudding scotch egg, we both had Stone Bass for mains. Drinks with both and no more than £35...More
