Hotel Andrea is a nice average hotel. The restaurant has pretty decent food, but I only ate there out of necessity and would search for something better if I had been there longer. The wifi did not work at all. And the beds were quite uncomfortable as well as completely cold showers (which I know is a thing in Costa Rica but for a hotel that's fancy, is that okay??). The rooms were clean enough and the staff were friendly. It'll do in a pinch.

Well made a choice to travel further down past the Osa Peninsula and we would then try to stay in a town called Neily. We finally found a hotel that had 2 rooms. They were reasonably priced and clean. They each had 4 twin beds, small table and 2 chairs and a bathroom with a shower and the most important feature was they had A/C units. We also paid a few dollars more for their breakfast in the morning. Once we were settled we went down to the open air restaurant and had dinner which was okay. We took these 2 rooms as we were tired and didn't want to drive any further but they were right next to the busy street and therefore very noisy. If you call or book a room on line make sure to ask for a room away from the street. The gal at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful and the wait staff in the restaurant were very attentive. Sorry to say there was no pool to cool off in!

My husband and I stopped at the Hotel Andrea's restaurant during a five-hour border jump from Panama to Costa Rica. (We bused over to Ciudad Neily rather than kill time at Paso Canoas). Although we didn't stay at the hotel, it looked clean and charming and the prices weren't super-cheap, but still doable. We ate at the open-air restaurant. The only downside was that there was no air conditioning--just fans--at the restaurant. Other than that, we enjoyed huge cheeseburgers loaded with toppings and cooked the way we like. They came with french fries and we ordered coffee. The service was good, but we tried to order a milkshake but the flavors we wanted weren't available. This hotel and restaurant is in a great location in this small city, and right across from the bus stop so it's super-convenient. Would we return? Most likely, as we come to the area a couple of times a year.

We stayed here twice in the process of traveling by bus between Costa Rica and Panama.
The staff were very friendly and accomodating, the room was very clean, and the restaurant was on site and had a good variety to choose from.
We are budget travellers, so the price of around $60 a night for a room was high by our standards, so we considered it a treat.
The bus station is diagonally across the corner so it was very convenient.

Looking over the options, Hotel Andrea was easily the most attractive hotel in town. The room was very clean, spacious enough, had free wi-fi, nice cool air. Hotel grounds are quite pleasant. A single person rate was less than I expected. The adjoining restaurant served a nice evening meal and breakfast too. You are you are looking at the best hotel available.

We stayed one night at Hotel Andrea after crossing from Panama into Costa Rica late in the evening. It is a gem in an otherwise characterless town. It must be very popular with locals as we lucked out and got the last two rooms available. It was FULL! I am not sure what business brings people to Neilly but most of the guests seemed to be business oriented. The restaurant was pretty good and the service was prompt and friendly.

We live a couple hours away from here and have enjoyed the restaurant on many occasions. The food is great, presented beautifully and the beers are cold.
This week was our first stay in the hotel and we had a good stay.....the AC was cold and quiet, new flat screen TV had good cable, the mattresses were very new. The wifi worked great in the lovely patio area with plants and rocking chairs.
Also the staff is friendly and helpful.

I was on a work trip and needed to stay the night. This hotel was recommended to me and according to trip advisor it is the best in the area. Checked in and front desk service was ok. The room was pretty clean. The air conditioner was good and helped to make me sleep. The bed was very hard as were the pillows. The room has windows to the corridor which is open to parking lot. You could hear all the noise outside this the window is not soundproof. All in all for a small town hotel in the center of town it is an ok place. The price not expensive. It has small restaurant which serves all day.

I have stayed numerous times at Hotel Andrea. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms have always been clean and the beds always firm. This stay was very disappointing with Room #1. The only window opens to the laundry area (so the curtains remained closed), the noise from the staff and washing machines was constant, the room was tiny and the fixtures were old. The bed was firm and the air worked well, but this room should not be rented at the same cost. When I complained, they offered me another room when it was available. No comparison! Another great stay at a great location. Just stay away from Room #1.

Probably the best choice in Cuidad Neily and well maintained for what looks like an older hotel. Located in the center of town, it is close to all shopping Rooms are OK and have a small frig. Beds were comfortable and the AC quiet.
Showers did not have hot water during the day time. Includes a breakfast that is not great.
