We’ve been lucky enough to have two short stays at Las Telunas and we’d return in a heartbeat (were it not for the current travel restrictions). Absolutely wonderful experience all round- the rooms are appointed and maintained beautifully, there’s a brilliant range of activities for adults and kids, the kitchen is super accommodating to requests (and picky toddlers!), the views are stunning, the sea water is clean and warm... What’s not to like! On our second visit, a personalised handmade card awaited us in our room welcoming us back. It felt like “coming to home”! What sets Las Telunas apart is the incredible team that works there- they are all truly amazing at what they do and ooze so much warmth abs joy. Big shout out to Ray in particular who forever has a warm smile to welcome you into the restaurant and party tricks up his sleeve to entertain the little ones! I can’t think of a better getaway from Singapore- so easy to get to, even with small children, and provides the perfect R&R. Thank you so much!

During this very difficult time my travel options are limited and with a project to manage even more so. This has seen me limited to Batam, which while not a major hardship, you do find yourself wanting to get away. This is when I found out about Telunas Private Island Resort and from what I saw it was exactly what I needed. Since the resort is on Sugi Island and it is still Kepulauan Riau group of islands which includes Batam, we were able to travel without any issues via the resorts ferry boat. My wife and I turned up at Sekupang not sure of what was in store, but we got off to a great start when we found the resort staff. They were welcoming and helpful and as the only guests we were well looked after as we got to know them better. Just over 70 minutes later we were arriving at the private island where we met the rest of the staff and begin what was a very memorable 4 night stay. The resort was set in the north side of a small island just off the larger Sugi island and it could not be more tranquil or picturesque. The villas over the water were spacious and well finished and the resort facilities excellent. Since we were the only guests it made the experience very surreal. However, I don’t doubt it would be any less wonderful sharing with others. Our days there were spent relaxing by the pool with cocktails as we required. Enjoying the wonderful food provided by the chefs. Or enjoying the Spa which was located over the water so the waves can serenade you as your body was drained of tension. I canoed around the island with the manager Matt who was superb throughout our stay and was able to run (walk parts) around the track within the island. Exploring is a must to see the other beach and facilities. The sunsets were gorgeous providing Eleanor and I some stunning arrays, especially for a special dinner we had on our last night. The staff were fantastic throughout and we all ended up singing songs together on the last night. Truly our experience will never be forgotten and it amazes me that this hidden gem is not well known in Batam. We were made to feel like an old friends coming home and we will certainly return to continue other adventures in and around Telunas. If you’ve not been yet, I cannot recommend it more. You are missing out!

Hi John, We are very grateful for this fantastic reviews and happy to hear that you and Eleanor enjoyed the time relaxing by the pool with cocktails, as well as the wonderful food, the over water Spa, the special dinner on the jetty with gorgeous sunset, canoeing with Matt and singing songs together with our team. There are not many holiday destinations where the staff go out of their way to make you feel like you’re home. This is one of them. Of course it’s also a delightful, charming, beautiful and exotic place to stay for people like myself looking for some quiet contemplation and also for others who may be looking for more adventurous activities. I loved my stay there. I hope to go back but I will always remember the warmth and friendliness of the staff despite concerns that they may have held privately due to the global COVID19 pandemic. Nothing was too difficult for them, special requests were no problem. Telunas Private Island is a resort like no other, a very special location, staffed by very special people. Thank you all for making my stay one that I will always fondly remember.

If you want a super relaxing vacation with a wonderful beach and the nicest hosts in the world, then you’ll love Telunas Private Island. My husband and I stayed here five nights, which I think was perfect. I wold recommend at least 4 nights. From the moment you are received, you get the friendliest welcome from a super kind staff - shoutout to Dela who helped me through the travel from Batam to Telunas. The bungalows are really beautiful and have everything to make your stay comfy, they give you a slip to ask for additional items like razors, slippers, and more. The food is pretty tasty. I enjoyed trying the Indonesian food. My favorite meal by far was a pasta with a coconut milk sauce called tom yum talay - try it! They had activities everyday. Something to note is that if you want to do jungle tour you need book in advance and it’s in Saturdays. I was a little worried about having enough snacks but the food was pretty filling and they have fruits and banana chips you can help yourself to in between meals. Make sure to go on the village tour. It was eye opening to see the locals and how Telunas is party of the local culture positively. I would definitely stay here again.
