Just Go. A great b and b with the best hosts. Full of charm and comfort. A great introduction to biking the Otago Rail Trail. We stayed in the Staff Room with a great bed and all creature comforts. Continental breakfast is an added bonus

We stayed here on our first night riding the Rail Trail, awesome place. The three of us spent a cosy night in the Detention room. The shower was great, the beds clean and comfy. Esme and Bruce are lovely, warm inviting hosts. And to top it all off just across the road you get to meet a few locals have...

Bruce and Esmé's B&B is the perfect combination of old town charm, warm hospitality and a great night's rest. Guests arriving in Lauder need look no further than the railtrail school. Share a yarn over a nice cup of tea, strum along to one of Bruce's ukuleles, and retreat back to one of the many timeless bedrooms (with very modern...

We loved the Lauder School, it was perfect place to stay after our first days biking. Our room was the ‘Detention Shed’, which was spotless and the beds very comfortable. The B&B is actually converted from the old Lauder School, it is very charming and set against beautiful, well-kept gardens. We had a great night at the Lauder Hotel, conveniently...

Esme and Bruce were great hosts. The character of the school really added to our experience on the trail I would love to go back. Spa pool is a bonus. An introduction about the place and history of the school could potentially add to the experience.

A delightful light & airy schoolhouse with aptly named rooms. The garden was in full bloom and a lovely site to drink a local ale and relax, added to that the garden spa was a welcome treat to tired muscles after cycling the rail trail. Esme & Bruce made us feel right at home and engaged us with local yukele...

We stayed here on the 1st night of cycling the rail trail and had a lovely en-suite room in the garden of the old school which was so clean and comfortable. The owner was very welcoming and we all felt like we were in a home away from home.

You are literally staying at the old school. It's a neat quirky little spot which is 20 meters from the pub (Lauder Hotel). The hospitality, Bruce & Esme', was first rate. You would be crazy not to stop in for the night.
