What can I say..... woodcutters cottage exceeded my expectations. Met Sarah on arrival to the farm, she then helped us with our bags onto the buggy and drove us down a track well into woods where the cottage was. It was beautiful. Sarah explained exactly how everything worked including the log fired shower. It's a great place to stay if...

This was our second stay at the Woodcutters cottage and this time for 4 nights instead of just 2. We were worried our two boys (11 and 13) would be bored for an extended stay but needn't have. They both loved it more than ever with the wood-fired shower and camp fire cooking keeping them busy as well as the...

We stayed in one of the cabins with our two young children for a couple of nights at the start of July. The location of the cabins is so peaceful. Our city kids loved watching the rabbits and pheasants outside our cabin and roaming around the woods and fields on the farm. It was lovely to have the luxury of...

We stayed here last year, just before Halloween. It was one of our most special get-aways of all time. The hosts are extremely helpful and welcoming. We stayed in the woodcutters cottage which was so cosy and warm even though it was almost November and we loved being so close to nature. The outside shower was interesting and the children...

This trip was for our mini-moon and couldn't have been more perfect! So peaceful, away from the hustle of life. Beautiful cosy cottage with everything you need, a real glamping experience. Our hosts were amazing and couldn't do enough for us, even gave us a bottle of bubbly to celebrate us getting married. The hilltop evening was incredible. Love this...

Perfect visit to Woodcutters Cottage, back to nature!! Everything we needed in this great location. Outdoor shower is great fun! Away from all the hassle of day to day life. The couple who run the site are friendly, caring and helpful. Great time 😍 Amazing Carvery roast at nearby Cock Inn.

We stayed in the Woodcutters cottage, it was peaceful, secluded and had everything we needed. Wood fired shower was great and we braved it despite minus temperatures, invigorating and refreshing also fun to stoke the burner to get the water up to temperature. Scrabble by lamplight and cooking on the open fire, it really was a perfect weekend.

Meadow keepers cottage is a dream escape from the modern world. Absolute remote relaxation and getting back to nature. The fairytale location was enhanced by visits from deer and other wildlife. It was my birthday and we hired the tent on the hill for a fabulous picnic. Thoroughly recommend this place.

Great four night break at Swallowtail Hill Farm. A happy and relaxed environment for both adults and children. Sarah Broadbent was very welcoming and always happy to help and great with children. A great place to be based, easy to get to the coast and into the countryside. Would recommend this type of short break to anyone, especially with children.
