Nice little place with an extra block of rooms out the back, fairly recently (and well) modernised. Classic Lancashire breakfast and a decent evening menu meal, albeit with limited choice. This only failed "Very Good" with me due to the room size I had in the main building. It was meant to be a double room for single occupany but...

Stayed overnight on route to home. Although the bed was very comfy, the room was in great need of updating and refurbishment, with damp on the bathroom wall, however the staff are excellent. Breakfast consists of a buffet table, cereal, toast and crumpets. Very short breakfast time, sunday was 8-9, with a leaving time of 10, bit short for a...

Had a lovely room (17) in the Lodge just across the car park. Very very large clean rooms with fluffy bathrobes, beautiful bathroom, really comfy bed, and loads of tea and coffee. Breakfast was excellent too; cooked totally fresh.

Having visited here several times I have never been disappointed with the food. There are good choices on the menu and all food is top quality, cooked to perfection and we'll presented. There is a good selection of wines and beers and the staff give a lovely friendly service.

This was once a traditional pub and still looks like that outside. Inside though it is completely modernised and not really a pub anymore. However for a one night stopover it was very good. The 'small double' was a good description of the the bed and the room itself, which was only of adequate size, but comfortable and quite new.....

We love going to the Craven Heifer in Kelbrook for lunch because the menu changes frequently and is excellent value for money. We've been there today and we were spoilt for choice for a starter and main course (couldn't eat a dessert!). White onion soup with truffle oil for two, Chicken Chasseur with rice for me and Braised Brisket of...
