Peter and Louise gave us a wonderful start to our across-the-province bike tour on the Confederation Trail. Peter even assisted us in putting our bikes together and assisted us in getting to a nice restaurant for dinner. Our room was clean and comfortable. Delightful and hospitable hosts.

Peter and Louise became the new owners of Murphy's Home and Cottages six years ago. It was tired and needed to be updated. There is still work that needs to be done, but a lot of renovations have been made already. They have a large yard that is secluded from their neighbours by a narrow area of bush on all...

We stayed here for a night before beginning our cycling trip on the Confederation Trail. We rented 3 cottages, which were basic but cozy. The setting is a beautiful grove of trees just off a country road. The hosts, Peter and Louise, were extremely friendly and helpful. They even offered to drive us out to a restaurant for supper and...

Stayed here two nights in preparation for our Confederation Trail Ride. Nice location, about .5 km from the trail head. Peter & Louise were wonderful hosts and let me use their fridge to keep my meds during our week long tour on the trail. We left our car there while cycling and got a ride back from the end of...

Definitely a good place to stay in Tignish. Friendly owner, well-kept cottages, even has its own bbq and porch. Has anything you need in the kitchen, even a full-size fridge. The shower and bathroom were quite cramped but that's fine since it's a little cottage. It's near everything in Tignish. We recommend this place.

My husband and I were doing the North Cape Drive and stayed in one of the cottages for the night...it was great. The cottage, that included everything you could ever need, was so cute and cozy plus extremely clean. Peter & Louise really made us feel welcome, even telling us the story of how they ended up in Tignish. Peter...

We only stayed one night in the Tignish area. It is absolutely gorgeous in the area. We went out at sunset (with the owners) and we saw birds dive bombing into the water. Amazing! The owners are exceedingly friendly and were a big part of why we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We rented three cottages for those of us from "away". The first night we were there, Peter, our host, set up the propane lobster pot and brought out newspapers so we could cook up our own Down Home Lobster/Clam/Corn Bake. The Fisheries at The Point (Jude's Point to be exact) is the best local source for fresh lobster and steamers....

We stayed in a twin room with bath in the house rather than in the cottages. Most of the house has been remodeled in recent years, and we thought everything was fine. The floors have been redone but aren't flat. However, this was not a problem. A nice, big breakfast was served. It's a good location to drive to North...
