Ross Castle is known to be the most haunted Castle in Ireland. I've stayed here many times and the only thing I've experienced is comfort and a warm welcome. Vanessa and Jackie are wonderful! Everything for our stay was perfect, even the home cooked dinner,...More

Thank you so much for this really special review, Ross Castle is indeed a special place and we are so happy you found us!
We stayed here for two nights with friends and it was amazing. The setting seems remote and very beautiful with an abundance of wildlife - heron, owl , red squirrel and a very tame fox who visited each day to share some food!
The location is what you think about when you think Ireland. The castle has lots of charm. The caretakers are amazing! Highly recommended. Rooms have old world charm with all modern amenities. Didn't see any ghosts but did meet the domesticated red fox that visits.
We wanted an authentic castle stay and I think we found it! We stayed in the lower tower room. There's a narrow spiral staircase, even to this lower room, so only take what's necessary with you. The room is very large with a king-sized bed....More

For our group of 7 we had the three tower rooms. Each room has a full or queen bed and then there are also cots available that they can set up in the top room. I'm sure you can book on the weekends. I would just add that the stairs for the rooms in the tower are steep and spiraled and so wouldn't be good for someone who has trouble going up and down stairs. However, there are also a few rooms on the ground level that you could book instead. I would suggest you reach out to Ross B&B directly. There is contact information on the website.
