Hi Stan has opened the doors of grove hill hotel so it is open again :) He closed the doors in November. So every thing is back to normal again. He would like to thank every one for their support over the years.

Sad to say Stan closed the doors of grove hill yesterday. If someone buys it it will open up again. He had the last ever barbie on Saturday there was up to 400 people most came to say good bye to the pub and to Stan.

Situated off the main track North this amazing remnant of the many outback pubs is worth a night. Free camping Saturday nights with a small charge for power, frosty cool beer and the most amazing group of locals and travellers our night around the "table of knowledge" will live long in our travel memory. The pub is crammed with "zillions"...

The welcome and fun we experienced at this Hotel outweighed the lack of modern conveniences! Don't expect a four star hotel, just enjoy the very different surroundings completely off the beaten track.

Stopped on the way through to our campsite. Poor planning as it happened to be the last Sat of the month, so the bbq was being setup and it looked like being a cracking night. The museum is interesting, the setting and vibe is very relaxed Aus bush, and the people great. We will be back.

Located in the Grove Hill mining area, little remains of a prosperous railway/mining town except for this hotel. The bar in in one small section of the building, the rest contains a large collection of items from the areas historical mining & railway history. While some would list it as junk, it was interested to see the various items, including...

It's a wee way off the main drag and that's a bonus! It means it's not dumbed-down with grey nomads and their caravans and attracts only the intrepid traveller, outback locals. It is a way interesting, eclectic place and really what the Aussie outback is about till it was over-run with European backpackers. 'm sure it won't be every-ones cuppa...

2 couples camped for 2 nights behind the pub. Very pleasant and welcoming staff. Nice cool beer and chat with Joe. Unfortunately now the historic Grove Hill is badly in need of TLC. After visiting about 20 years ago, we found that the place was tired and we were disappointed that the old accommodation had been dismantled and now holds...

We love this little pub .. We have visited a couple of times over the last 10 years. It is basic, there are no frills but it is an authentic old Australian pub. Love the atmosphere...and the local characters. We spent ANZAC day here last year and it was just the best day ever. This time we went for the...
