We return to Ireland a couple of times a year and the Mountain Inn is always on our agenda. The rooms are large, spotlessly clean and comfortable, the local area is beautiful with many things to do. The bar is always a fun and friendly place, the full Irish breakfast very generous and delicious. Mary and Liam are fabulous hosts,... More

The Mountain Inn was the perfect getaway to enjoy Sligo, Liam and Mary were excellent hosts with a perfect breakfast ready for us every morning , while also enjoying great craic in the pub. Rooms are very clean with very comfy beds. We will be back.

If you’re looking for a base to explore the Sligo area, don’t pass this little B+B gem. This is a family run business, expertly run by Mary and Liam. You will need a car or bike as it is set in a rural area. We set off each day after the full (and I mean full) Irish breakfast and visited... More

Off the beaten track, lovely views of Ox mountains, friendly, fastidiously clean and comfortable and a great breakfast. Bar small and quiet but well stocked and well run. No longer a shop and restaurant has also closed as the Lipsetts concentrate on the B&B and the bar. We loved it.
