Beautiful location, great view and wonderful grounds. Very posh hotel with dress code for the restaurant. Period buildings, nicely furnished. Very good breakfast. Cleanliness and attention to detail from housekeeping was very disappointing though. There was no soap in the room when we arrived, so we rang down and asked for soap. We discovered there was a charge for the...

Don't be fooled by the bargain price of the rooms (we paid less than £50 each per night), this is a top quality hotel. We stayed in the Petit North wing and loved it. All the staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The decoration and bathroom were immaculate, only slight gripe was lack of water pressure through the shower, could...

My wife and myself stayed at these premises a number of times during the 'Ashley' era, including a couple of Christmases. When Sir Bernard Ashley died and the hotel was sold, we were not impressed with reviews of subsequent owners - until now. On a driving tour of Wales we decided to try it again, and it's back on song!...

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bedroom and bathroom luxurious. Sherry , bottled water and apples there waiting for you. The food was superb and the restaurant staff made sure you were looked after properly. Little expensive but worth every penny. Looking forward to a return visit

We planned a trip to the waterfalls of Breacon with another couple as a catch up get together. Finding accommodation when you are not sure of the area was becoming a nightmare and we wanted somewhere "quite nice". We ended up choosing Llangoed almost out of desperation and anxiety of getting it right. I genuinely thought it was going to...

When looking for a hotel for our walking weekend we stumbled upon a deal at Llangoed Hall, and though an hour's drive from where we walked and possibly a little grand for our group's requirements, the petit north wing rooms were available at a very good price in comparison to other hotels. We had a wonderful stay - first warmly...

Revisiting a hotel you previously loved can be disappointing, especially if 20 years had lapsed since your last visit. However, Llangoed Hall is far from disappointing; it is in fact almost the perfect hotel. Although the impressive and imposing country house, situated in the magnificent Wye Valley, is far from being a typical home, it amazingly feels homely. This is...

Where do I start? My stay in this hotel was memorable for all the right reasons. Don't be put off by the fact they are in the higher price bracket- it's worth every penny and the food is delicious. Beautiful decadent decor and the views from every window are lovely. Thanks for a relaxing stay.
