Well worth a visit as the location is excellent for visiting many interesting places. It is a small country hotel that is charmingly fitted out. B&b is standard and evening meals can be requested in advance. The food is very good. Our hostess speaks perfect English and is a source of very helpful information on the area. We thoroughly enjoyed...

Very nice place to stay, almost luxury. A bit of a splurge perhaps, but everything about this hotel is first class, and is a nice change from the Camino typical lodging options. It is owner operated, she gave us options for dinner as she went shopping for food that afternoon. The only oddity was dinner was expensive at 20 euros,...

We spent one night here before taking the ferry from Bilbao. Rosario, the owner, came out to meet us when we arrived and invited us for drinks and a chat in the lounge as soon as we were settled (as others have noted she speaks perfect English). The room was a good size with a very comfortable bed, very modern...

We booked Mihotelito during our Camino and it was a refreshing difference to the Hostales on the way. White bed linen and a nice bath helped us forgetting our blisters. Rosalia is a great cook and dinner as well as breakfast was one of the best we had so far on the Camino. We had some nice conversations with our...

My wife and I stopped in a room at the top of this hotel,3 stories up,during our recent Camino walk. There is absolutely nothing in the village other than the alberge and church so without a car you are reliant on the hotel for dinner. The house was converted into a small hotel, about 6 bedrooms, in 2009. It is traditionally...

Rosario was educated in England and so therefore has perfect English. She is very knowledgeable and helpful and also extremely charming! Her house is beautiful and very stylish. She went to a lot of trouble to ensure that our stay was interesting and that we got the best out of the area. Breakfast was delicious!

Truly amazing hospitality from the excellent rooms to the quality of the food this was a wonderful find. We enjoyed the evenings so much we signed up for dinner every night and were delighted when Maria joined us for a glass of wine and a chat when the meal was finished. She finally admitted that when she decided to offer...

We were warmly welcomed by our hostess, who went out of her way to help us make the most of our short stay. A tapas lunch in a quaint neighbouring village was suggested and in the afternoon, we were able to explore Santo Domingo and go for a Rioja wine tasting in Haro. In the evening we had a very...

Found this quirky little hotel through Sawdays and it really reflects the Guide's ability to genuinely spot "special places to stay". We were on the last leg of the holiday, heading for Santander and the ferry. We were welcomed like old friends, shown to beautifully proportioned rooms which were tastefully furnished. Our hostess - and that is what she was...

It was like godsend, I was searching for a place to stay since my original plan to stay at Santo Domingo failed. I decided to keep on walking "the camino" and just when I thought everything was lost I found this marvelous place with an exquisite taste for decoration. I was served an improvised meal since they didn't that was...
