This is in an interesting building with a long heritage. The décor is Victorian and way over the top. If there is space, it's taken up with a knick-knack, whereas space is badly need for utilitarian reasons. For example, there is no desk or shelf space. There is no fridge in the room. That said, it was one of the...

Thank you so much for not only telling me but the rest of our guest what a comfortable bed you had slept in, more comfortable than your own bed at home. Neville it was somewhat surprising to read your review when we upgraded at no extra cost because you complained so much about your ankles and how you were suffering...

What can I say?? We stayed in the Garden Room over the weekend of the Adele Concert and the Bath Towels smelt of "Mould". The Bathroom was not cleaned to a level that you would expect from a five star category B&B On the Peace & Plenty website, Judy claims to have many Marketing skills to assist the novice traveler...

This was a great place to recharge our batteries after a long trip to New Zealand from the UK, before picking up our motorhome for a month's tour of the islands. Set in Devonport, which was within viewing distance of the city, but without all the hustle and bustle, the location was great for us. It was a great place...

The house is beautiful and situated in a great location, but this is rather spoiled by the proprietor, Judy. We found at least 20 ants under pillows and sheets in our bed. Judy offered us a new room, but tried to partially charge us for the original room as well. The next morning when we went down for breakfast, she...

We enjoyed our two-night stay here, although (staying in the Victoria Room) it was the most expensive of the B&Bs we stayed at during our 3-week tour. The hostess (Judy) was friendly and helpful, our reasonably spacious room (with balcony furnished with small table and a couple of chairs and overlooking garden) characterful, clean and comfortable, breakfasts excellent. Sherry &...

This was a return visit after some years and delighted to find the same welcome and quaint décor in the rooms. Two very friendly dogs. Loved the special touches with the sherry and the range of teas. Very comfortable nights sleep after the Bruce Springsteen concert! And very easy to get to from Auckland via the ferry - we just...

This B&B is nice situated in Devonport, Auckland. Just a 5 minutes walk to the ferry for Auckland. The rooms have enough space and the rooms are very nice with good furniture and a great bed. The people who own the B&B are good in their job and helpfull. It is an expensive B&B, but it's worth it. Two thinks...

This is a gem being a well restored property stuffed full of artefacts and with a very welcoming hostess. The rooms are well stocked with ours on the first floor having a very spacious bathroom and balcony. Breakfasts were generous and well cooked freshly for you. It is situated just off the sea front in the heart of Devonport but...

Devenport itself is very special. Just a short ferry ride from busy Auckland it has peace and tranquility, character and history and is a great place to base youself from. You will go a long way to find anywhere better than P & P. A historical and quirky building with great and comfortable rooms and wonderful host in Judy. Breakfasts...

Stayed as a couple for a couple of nights at weekend. Meet and greet fine. Judy the owner went through the hotel room compendium with us to make sure everything was covered off. Building and room itself was packed with character with most surfaces having stuff like flowers, port, glasses, vases, bottles of creme and so on which I guess...
