Hi Michael K, You're right - there is so much to do out here in every season! We are so close to Banff and Lake Louise, as well as multiple ski hills in winter and incredible hiking in the summer. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

The resort is conveniently located just a few minutes from Canmore and about 20 minutes from the Banff NP gate. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cabins are very comfortable and maintained well though they are a little dated which is hardly noticeable because of the awesome views all around. Note that the Hertz Neverlost did not have the...

Hi rpowell25, Thank you for your review! It's true that our cabins are a bit dated - but we are working on upgrading as much as possible. The views definitely make up for what the furniture lacks! We have heard quite a few stories from other guests about the GPS leading them astray when they try to get here -...

I booked a long weekend stay at the banff gate mountain resort for my family, from the photos I saw it looked awesome, and it really is, its quiet even when it is full, a handful of 1000sqft cabins in the middle of the pigeon mountain range?...yes please! It is rustic, let's get that out of the way, but from...

Hi Shane! Thank you for your glowing review! We are so happy to hear that you love our resort as much as we do! Since all of our chalets are fully equipped, it can seem quite quiet on the resort even when we are completely full! Once the warmer weather arrives though, we have lots of outdoor activities such as...

As a place for two couples to stay and enjoy access to walking trails, this is a terrific find. The cabins are a bit tired but are perfectly adequate and reasonably well stocked. The setting is beautiful, with views of rocky peaks and forests. What's a bit off putting is a faint sewage smell (strong in the lodge) that hangs...

Our family have been taking a week once a year at this resort. At the beginning it was quite shabby..old and rundown. However new owners have taken over and every time we go we see more improvements. It still has a long way to go to update the cabins to perfection. However, one must remember that they are chalets in...

We have just returned from a week stay at this resort. The location was beautiful, with an awesome mountain view. Our first morning, a handsome bull elk wandered through our front yard as we sipped our coffee. Everything worked fine, and the Wi-Fi was strong and fast. However, as other reviewers have noted, the place could use a good deep...

I traded into this dump through RCI, and from the moment I set foot on the grounds, I regretted it. On a positive, the scenery is breathtaking. But the property is in shambles. Layers of grit cover the interior and exterior walls. The window blinds are cheap, shoddy, too small for the window, and broken. As a result, the summer...

I recently stayed here with my husband, children (12 weeks & 3 yrs old) and my brother and his girlfriend who were visiting from Sweden. I had read the previous reviews I was prepared for the shabbiness and outdated decor, and hoped that our cabin would be reasonably clean as it seemed to be hit or miss on that account....

Unfortunately the chalets were very outdated, filthy, need upgrading, etc., etc., The kitchen requires an intensive cleaning, particularly the stove and hood. Windows filthy and the window sills full of dead insects. Broken down coffee table held up by a piece of wood on one corner - be careful you don't lean on it. The 4 panels of drapes filthy...

We stayed at the Banff Gate Mountain Resort May 30 - June 1. It was a great family gathering. The resort is a bit run down; it was probably great in the 80's. The resort is comprised of approx. 45 A-frame cabins. All (most) with wood paneling, kitchenette, two bathrooms, two bedrooms and some have a murphy bed as well...
