Unfortunately the chalets were very outdated, filthy, need upgrading, etc., etc., The kitchen requires an intensive cleaning, particularly the stove and hood. Windows filthy and the window sills full of dead insects. Broken down coffee table held up by a piece of wood on one...More
We stayed at the Banff Gate Mountain Resort May 30 - June 1. It was a great family gathering. The resort is a bit run down; it was probably great in the 80's. The resort is comprised of approx. 45 A-frame cabins. All (most) with...More
Beautiful location. Bedding and mattresses excellent. Great drinking water. Shabby furniture is bearable but not when it is dirty. It appeared only the bathrooms had been cleaned prior to our arrival. Floors were dirty, windows and mirrors dirty. Window screens had extra holes, and there...More
We are staying here through RCI. Bathrooms looked like they weren't ever cleaned. Front desk service almost non-existent. 20 minutes from Banff and 5 from Canmore. Dated cabins, poorly supplied kitchens, but I feel compelled to give one star for having our own cabin and...More

From the rental car area exit the airport towards AB-2 (Follow the signs). Get on AB-2 North for a short distance then transition to AB-201 West for about 21km to AB-1 West/Trans Canada Hwy. Stay on that for approximately 80km. Exit #98 at Dead Man's Flat, right on 2 St (Husky Gas Station), right on 2 Ave, follow 2 Ave over the highway and it becomes George Biggy Sr Rd which effectively dead ends at the resort.
