The Executive Hotel Vancouver Airport has received a mix of feedback, with guests commending the family-friendly size of the rooms and the hotel's modern and comfortable atmosphere, alongside a convenient location near the airport and Richmond Centre. However, some guests have called out the need for updates and better maintenance in rooms, and experiences with service and cleanliness have varied.
While the amenities like airport shuttles are generally appreciated, opinions on value diverge, with some travelers finding the pricing fair and others questioning it given their experiences.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed overnight at the hotel as were catching a flight at YVR the next day. Our flight wasn’t until 4pm so we asked if we could get a late check-out. They said they could extend it until noon but anything after that would be for a fee so we settled on a noon checkout. We were in our room the next day around 11:45am and got a call asking if we were checking out and we said yes, at noon. Five minutes later we got another call asking the same question.
Other than the issue around check-out time, the hotel was fine for the price we paid. Room was a bit dated (especially the bathroom) but it was clean and the bed was comfy. There was also a free airport shuttle that was very handy (and the driver very nice).

This is one of few hotels that offers indoor parking steps away from the elevators to the room. The room we had was decent in size and comfortable…but furniture starts to show some wear & tear. The window was leaking cold air into the room. It was reasonably quiet considering Richmond Hospital is close by. There is no annoying noise associated with planes as hotel appears to be away from flight path.

In a word, tired. We had specifically stated to hotel staff that we were 4 adults & 1 baby.
Upon arrival our suite had 1 queen bed room, 1 single bed room & a uncomfortable out couch. Cupboards were coming off hinges, under supplied kitchen wares, TV remote not working. Again, we were 4 adults & the 1m round table had only 2 chairs. This is a 290-room facility with only 1 dolly, closely guarded by a rude Concierge.
We were instructed to leave garbage in the hallway where it would be picked up twice a day. Unfortunately, there was a 2-day period where it was not.
The pool was closed & the reason for the closure varied. First it was due to COVID & then we were told it was under renovations.
The 3 bright spots were reception staff who were helpful, location and shuttle service.

We appreciate feedback and regret that we did fall short on some items. There are in fact a number of luggage carts I am sorry if a team member was overly protective of one. I hope you will return when in Richmond and provide us the opportunity to redeem ourself in your eyes.

My stay at the Executive Hotel was a comfortable one. With the in room amenities they provided me with, I was able to cook my own meals whenever I wanted to and sleep peacefully on the soft beds provided. Housekeeping was extremely helpful. I remember one time I just asked for my bathroom to be cleaned and when I walked back into my room, my bed was made and more. Everyone here at this establishment was extremely pleasurable, especially Hasco, the shuttle driver who assisted my sister who flew in to see me one night. The breakfast crew was always smiling and assisting with anything extra I needed also. Every time I walked into the lobby or made a phone call to the front desk, someone was there to help me out in a jiffy. Thanks Executive Hotel!

We were happy with the Hotel service, Free cookies for Christmas on arrival was a nice touch. The room was standard but worth the price c considering it came with 2 weeks free parking which saved us over $100. The parking is inside the parking garage which was nice. In the morning there was no shuttle available so the hotel paid for our cab to airport. Great service and value we will be back.

This hotel is in a great location in the center of Richmond B.C.
The service in the front office was friendly and good, not great.
We had stayed in room 1705 for more than 30 days. The room was big, with a kitchen, a dining table, a desk, and a sofabed.
The bedroom has a queen-size bed, the carpet was dirty. The housemate will come to have the towels and bed sheets changed once a week. The TV in the living room was a bit flaw, it has a dark spot in the middle of the screen; so the face that appeared on the screen looked black, though the person was white.
The hotel has a gym, a hot tub, no sauna. there were only 2 treadmills in the gym, but both were broken. The hot tub was in low maintenance, the water was with a lot of bubbles and the water was cold-warm.
The most horrible things happened twice in November.
The first one happened in the first half of November. The fire alarm sounded awfully in the middle of our sleep, at around 1:50 am. We called the front desk and the guy answered had asked us to evacuate immediately. So, we dressed up warmly, brought our passports, and walked 17 floors down to the lobby. It would be okay if we were young to walk down 17 floors. But, we were both over seventy (70) now. try to picture this yourself. The fire truck arrived but only stayed for no more than 10 mins. and left. It was a false alarm.
Another unfortunate incident happened again in the second half of November.
The fire alarm sounded at 5 am. So we called the front desk and the guy answered told us to evacuate at once. So we did the same thing as the first one.
This time, the fire truck did not even bother to come. It was again a false alarm.
Next time, when you travel to B.C. Think again before you try to book with this hotel.
Thank you.

We regret if we failed you on any level. Cleaning only on a weekly basis is part of the Covid seafety protocol, sorry. Fire alarms are upsetting to all of us ,specially when the turn out to be false alarms , We regret that you had 2 occasions during your stay when that happened. Fitness facilities should have been fully locked of under the covid protocol. General Manager

We needed a hotel in Richmond near our apartment that was getting renovated. The Director of Sales Maswood arranged an excellent long-stay rate within minutes, and even gave us a tour of the 2-bedroom/2-bathroom condos. They also arranged direct billing with our home insurance company. All of this was very much appreciated.
Room 1509 was perfect for 21 nights, full kitchen and also a work desk.
The staff was always very helpful and we had no complaints at all.
Thank you so much Maswood and Laura!

With Richmond being a good central location for working in the area, I tried several other hotels in the area before staying at the Executive. I had a wonderful stay then and every other time since then, this is definitely going to continue to be my go to hotel when I am in the area. I really like the one bedroom suites as they are spacious, well equipped (important for me as I like to pack most of my own food) and very quiet. the staff is always friendly, the parking is secure and the beds are comfortable. That's all I need. Enjoy your stay.

I fly into Vancouver 3 and often 4 times a month for work and always have a 1 night layover before my charter flight. Because of this I have stayed at most of the “airport hotels”
as I need to be close. For the most part, I have always booked through booking websites as I try and get best deal. With that said, I also want good, clean accommodations with a few certain amenities that I need. A restaurant on site, airport shuttle, good wifi and so on. From there, you come up with preferences but nothing set in stone because as I said, I mostly based my stay on the best deal possible.
Since staying here I have to admit that I have changed my thinking on this.
When you stay in hotels this often, things start to be more relevant than cost. In addition to having all the amenities that I need, service, attitude and a desire to ensure that my stay is a more than pleasant experience, no matter how short, has definitely taken a spot on my priority list.
The staff here, second to none. Always inquiring what I may need or if there’s anything they can do to make my stay as pleasant and efficient as possible.
In these times of adapting new life styles, I find that some parties use the current obstacles that we face, as a reason or excuse to cut services and amenities with no apparent desire to get back a full service state.
Pools, fitness rooms, inclusive breakfasts etc, all not available at some major big name chains with no real reason for this in the stage of re- opening that we are in.
Well, they’ve lost my business and I’m quite alright with that because I’ve found a much better alternative.
In short, if you need a great hotel, near the airport, with a staff that care to retain your business... This is it!!!

We have just left our three day quarantine after flying in from the U.K.
We booked a suite so was expecting a really nice room for what we paid, the first room we were given was on the 18 th floor, sadly the air con was not working so we had to pack up and move just as we were about to go to sleep after a long journey.
Settled onto our very basic second room, the air con was a mobile unit, and we had to leave the balcony door open. For the tubing to hang outside Woke in the morning to find water everywhere, the lounge and part of the bedroom was under water, called reception who sent maintenance in with one towel to clear it up, he stuck tape over the water vent, which did not work, so we had to put a large cooking pot under it to catch the drips and keep emptying it through the night, not at all except-able,.
The food was not good, no choice.got what your were given.
Smoke smell from other rooms.
No chairs on balcony to sit out.
All in all we will not return !!
We payed a lot of mo way to stay very dissatisfied

So sorry that the HVAC in the 18th floor Penthouse did not work well .Your stay coincided with one of the worst heatwaves in Vancouver and we regret that this impacted your stay. Meals provided allow for some dietary considerations but in general are the same for all people in quarantine, sorry. We are a NONE SMOKING hotel and charge penalties if someone breaks that rule.

Hello, youbwould hsve to ask the front desk. If they have rooms available I think possible, not sure.
Yes it should. However it is best to speak to the hotel and get confirmation.
